No buying toiletries in February challenge!

I have quite fair hair and it is quite straight, so it is good for me. If you have curly hair you may have to brush like crazy to work it through your hair, so I am not too sure really (does anyone else know how it is for curly hair???)...
The words ''brush'' and ''curly'' simply don't mix, so its doubtful anything that needs brushing would suit a curly girly.0 -
Evening all,
This thread is busy as ever. I am really pleased to report that I have used up over the last few days:
1. Dermologica daily micro exfoliant (gentle scrub in powder form) - really gentle. Quite economical - had this about 6 months I think. So will buy again. Going to get something stronger (maybe their Skin Prep Scrub) and then alternate with this.
2. A mint chemical free bodywash called something like Earth friendly kids - really nice smell and for no chemicals foamed really well. Think its not a common brand but if I see again I will buy. Really fancy buying the Champneys mint wash.
3. Dead sea salts for the bath - this was a brand from Boots and its ok but not as good as the one I get from Holland & Barrett. Boots NIL - Holland & Barrett ONE.
4. Body Shop peppermint foot scrub - ok. Made the bath feel like it was full of sand. So not for me.
5. James Brown Intensive hair mask - I liked this. Think its about £7 (the one I had used came free with a magazine). It's on 3 for 2 at Boots at the moment....you see that's how they get you!!! But I do use LOADS and loads of conditioner so it wouldnt be in my stash for long....
So 5 things used up - hurrah. I said the other day I needed to buy hand cream. Found I had 2 at work, so bingo, no buying any hand cream.
Hope everyone has been on the straight and narrow (or slightly bendy?!). :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I don't have facial oil or face mist. I do have eye cream but seem to go through it at a rate of knots and "only" have 3 in reserve!Queen_of_NO_MATTER_WHAT wrote: »we can still see it in the small font size
Saw the bodyshop offer and had to resist, I began thinking to myself if I order this to get free postage and then that takes that off this which leaves that and then in a seperate order I'll get this and that and this in fact I'll swap that from first order because then that will be free with this and cost this...blah blah blah and the thinking about it all started to hurt, so I closed the body shop website and reminded myself that when i run out of face wash, cleanser, toner etc it will all still be there and there will be similar offers on
You are so right,. I need my head seeing to!All that for a tenner. At first I wasthen I thought :drool: back to
. Glad I didn't go into Body Shop yesterday.:j:j

Doing well with not buying at the mo, but am so tempted as have a gift card burning a hole in my purse:o.

I'm thinking of ebaying some shoes so I might ebay some of my unopened toiletries if I do, it'll be hard though to get rid of any of them cos I love them all (how sad I am!!)
As sad as me:o I feel your pain:)0 -
I hope there are more of those high end magazine freebies soon.
@tara747 I posted the No7 gloves today.
p.s. how did you find out about MSE living in the south? xoCompletelyLost wrote: »Another day without a purchase. This must be the longest I've ever gone without buying toiletries (6 days)
Finished two items today -- Impulse True Love body spray. WIBA? Maybe if it was 19p again... it's good enough for spraying in my shoes :S
- Hello Kitty Green Apple body splash. WIBA? No. I think I got this in a set of 4 from H&M and they smell a bit sickly. And I still have 3 more to go... ugh.
:T on the 6 days!
As for the Hello Kitty, maybe you could put it in your gift stash?salesaddict wrote: »Ooh Tara you are a great shopper. You always get great value for money and lovely stuff too.
Nooooo.... I don't want to be encouraging everyone else!!
Thank the Lord the Body Shop's sale seems to be over!
Binned today: 1 half-used Bionsen deodorant (useless) and 1 half-used Tesco tinted moisturiser (also ancient and horrible). WIBA: a big fat NO to both lol!!!
I'll put £2 for the deodorant and £4 for the moisturiser into my savings pot. :T Im almost at the end of a couple of other products too, yay! More space!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

For a shampoo free of SLS's & parabens it foams up beautifully and smells lovely..
Hey debidoodle, this sounds interesting - is this just Morrisons own brand or a natural range of some sort. I do genuinely need shampoo and conditioner. Only 1 conditioner in da house! 2 dregs of shampoo left. Loreal yuck! My hair feels so much heavier with it. Will be glad to use it up! Ooh forgot to report I nearly to lured into buying Loreal intensive conditioenr pots ( 2 for about £4). Then I thought, do I REALLY like this stuff. I then put it back. I could have fainted!

Resisted body shop :A I feel weak though.
Come on girls pull it together- tara stop encouraging us off the wagon with your bargains :T:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I finished a 100ml bottle of Molton Brown Naranji hand lotion last night. WIBA? - not this fragrance no. It came as part of a trio. I have the final bottle from that set back - Rose Granati, a 300ml bottle of White Mulberry (my favourite), 2 x 200ml bottles of Elemis Lime and Ginger hand and body lotion (one presently being used), a small tube of Philosophy Amazing Grace (opened and started using but had to buy a tube of L'occitane Lavender hand cream as my hands became really chapped lately and the L'occitane is the only one that cures them!). So no hand cream/lotion for me for a while.
I am soooo jealous of your hand cream collection, very posh!!!I used up a can of Batiste dry shampoo today. WIBA? Yes, I go through about one of these a week and they NEVER seem to be on offer!
Slightly off topic, but I have started to use up some Wellwoman multivitamins that expire in a few months, I have had them in the cupboard for quite a while and they are doing me no good in there! I may as well use them... It will be nice to get them out of the cupboard tbh!
This is so true!!! Half the reason I don't use up my expensive creams etc is that I don't want them to be finished as they are so expensive to replace... how daft is that??? They don't do me any good in the pot, only on my face! So now I am luxuriating in using everything, smug in the knowledge that I can put the cost of it in my savings pot at the end.
I moved £10 back out of my savings pot to my current a/c to 'pay' for the Body Shop madness this morning... the pain that caused me will hopefully put me off being so silly again! And if that doesn't do it, one look at my huge stash will!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
