I think its a good plan too - we dont half chat when we get distracted !!!

This month (is my birthday on the 18th - yay!!!) Im going to need moisturiser, im about 3/4 through a Johnsons one at the moment, but figure Id quite like to try something different - though I do have a soap and glory tinted one somewhere - but it doesnt like my skin,so when I find it Im planning on using that on my feet !!
other than that though,I dont think i need anything,so just need to find a nice face moisturiser - all help with that would be fab !!!

hey my birthday is on the 18th and i too am drowning in toiletries. just cant resist when boots have a sale, well not just boots being honest :rotfl:and still bought loads in jan sale and had to have the soap and glory hat box. was bit naughty really as i have not gone near that lovely black bag they did last year on similar offer. have had to have major clear out of bathroom as it was so cluttered and shelves were groaning. plus a few comments about how it looked like a branch of boots. problem is now that i have stashed them all in huge box in bottom of airing cupboard i now dont know what i have, so that is bound to let to more purchases. definitely need new mascara, mine are really old. most of them are the small ones that came in gift bags from boots when you spent x amount i think. also fancy a go at some false lashes, can see a new list forming here so i think there is no hope for me ;)
  • Hi all,

Happy Birthday for the 18th to Trudi and homealone. Happy Birthday to the other birthday girls too. It was my birthday on the 12th. I was heading for the Greenwich Maritime museum this Saturday just gone when lo and behold there on our left was the Boots clearance store that I had been warned to stay away from some pages back. I asked dh to keep control of me and dd and ds too.
However they had body butters by s&g full size peach and a blueberry one for £2
    No7 Mascaras for £1
    No7 radiance renew £1
They also had a lot of stuff that time forgot. They had some Time delay stuff from years ago.
All I can say is that I was more restrained than if I had gone in there before this thread.
I was also more restrained than I would have been in the m&s mini sale on toiletries last week.
Though obviously with my stash I should not be buying anything.
I think I did ask to be shot if I bought anything else.
I hope no one took me literally on that?:o

  • I keep thinking about a particular shade of Green eyeshadow .....I have loads of green eyeshadow but not PARROT green. Its ridiculous, but I want it. I'm trying o rationalise that as I'll wear it it will be a worthwhile deviation....I even paused a moment to work out whether this year was a leap year and whether (if it were, and its notm is it) that a 29th of Feb splurge could be left off the record.....

Parrot green.....not the various shades of emerald, khaki, moss, algae, jade and sea green I already own but PARROT green.

just an FYI (tho i shouldn't) Boots on the Moor in Sheffield were selling green eyeshadows (don't know make) for 10p the other day.

did hands last night in bed and managed to get fluff on thumb:mad: trouble is now hands are peach revlon v nice but toes are bright pink and look awful together so just put rubber gloves on to take off toe polish, don't you just hate the bits round the side that wont come off:mad:

i used to have a pen similar to this when i was younger - worked wonders on the awkward bits.

just thought I'd mention I picked up some Johnsons holiday body lotion (the gradual tan one i was after) in poundland today.....:T:j:money:
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

I do need to buy a body butter really, am fed up muddling along with these ineffective cheapo lotions and the cheapo cream-that's-not-much-more-than-a-lotion-in-a-pot. The Bodyshop ones are best in the mid price range are they? The trouble is I dislike vanilla, nut, cocoa, foodie, sweet fruity and musky type perfumes , which is what they all seem to be.
    Any suggestions?
You could try this company: http://www.bodyline.co.uk/mailorder/category.php?categoryid=8

I haven't used their body butters before, but have tried other products and they are quite nice.

I don't seem to be getting too far in Feb. I have only used up one perfume sample and one hotel soap. I have also sold two perfumes on eBay though, and thrown away a rank-looking liquid eyeshadow. My candlewicks should arrive tomorrow, I'm looking forward to creating new candles :)
  • Lostinrates - boots sent me a green eye shadow to trial, I've not used it because it's not my colour, you can have it if you want to add one to your collection. ;) ..I'm not sure it's parrot green though...in fact I can't imagine what parrot green looks like??

I opened a bodyshop body butter today from stash, brazil nut, omg it is gorgeous, I've not even finished it but I would defo buy again.

I've found a load of sample's in a draw so I spose I have to add them to the stash, I don't know why I have such a reluctance to using them I just do, weird, I dunno what I'm saving them for!!
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

Help ! I'm desperate to order from the body shop online, I've already placed 1 vitamin e order £37 worth of products for £14 and now I've seen a strawberry giftset which is lovely so added a few more vitamin e bits to get free delivery but haven't checked out yet.
P.s I feel like I'm craving these products-I'm sure the baby wants me to have a treat.
    Love can tame the wildest
  • Sonne - do you need them or want them? is there stuff in your stash that can be used instead? It's only a good deal if we need it x

Vitamin e is gorgous stuff, my skin loves it, so you've got some real treats coming there :)

Ho ho - nice try SA - the thing is. it's not visible from the road, is it, so you must have gone looking for it! :rotfl: ;) It does look like you were pretty restrained though - there is some gorgeous stuff in there at the moment - the Sanctuary stuff could easily have been my downfall when I was there! Don't think the Time Delay stuff was in there when I was in the other week - the S&G was though! :o

*runs to find a gun to shoot SA as per request made previously* :D

I've found a load of sample's in a draw so I spose I have to add them to the stash, I don't know why I have such a reluctance to using them I just do, weird, I dunno what I'm saving them for!!

I can really identify with this - it's back to the same old thing of "if I use it, I won't have it anymore" I think, as illogical as that seems.

Finally finished up my Clinique Cleanser this morning. WIBA? Absolutely, I love this stuff and my skin seems to as well. I think I have another mini one in my stash so will use up another one first then will go back to it for a while as a treat. I'm going to go and wash my hair in a minute I think, and have my shower. Don't think I'll use anything up though.

Body Shop Vitamin E body butter is lovely, they also have Aloe which is nice and neutral smelling. Or the Shea... which happens to be half price today only!!! Their body butters really are gorgeous xo

I am off for a bath soon, will cleanse with almond oil, then apply an Origins Dr Weil (free sample) face mask and relax, followed by a body scrub, shower, hairwash and body buttering. Bliss!!!!! :)
