    NOT MY FAULT:mad::mad::mad:
I tried to buy 4 swimsuits from tesco (2 styles of 2 sizes to see which fits)but when I got to the check out (downstairs from clothes)I saw a mark on 1 so had to say no to it in case didn't fit and had problems with returning........this then meant I spent £49.04 instead of £59.04 so in order to spend enough to get a 5p off a liter of petrol voucher I had to grab the nearest cheap item........a bottle of handwash for £1:eek: bringing me back up to 3 in the cupboard not to mention all the bars of soap:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I desperate to make a start on my kitchen, taps & worktops now needed.
Don't know if it's any use to you but when I was in Wicks' the other day, I saw someone carrying out 2 3m lengths of worktop in a black nice effect (the same style as I have in my kitchen actually!) and the were rtc @ £25. That represents a fair saving for a sheet of worktop if it's nationwide.
Ebay is really [STRIKE]cheap[/STRIKE] good for taps if you can be bothered to trawl through.

Sorry for going off topic ladies!
I've started a 1/3 empty shower gel which is from some spa range. Been knocking around for a while. Nice bottle but not good for the shower as it's a screw top. Fine in the bath though!

Belated happy birthdays to thifty and VALM(?).

ETA: I think the chocolate would have been a good investment buy!
    Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.
    MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.
    2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.

Just finished a Mitchum roll on deodorant bought in Florida last July, its a gel that I haven't seen in any of the shops here, mind you I have been avoiding Boots and Superdrug for so long the probably could be selling it now!! WIBA, probably, although it does take a while to dry

Finished off a 100gram pot of Palmers Cocoa butter, which has been sat on my beauty shelf for years. It smells lovely, but it just too greasy so I shan't be buying again. I will stick to my Nivea Soft.
  • Finished a Sanctuary body wash and a fcuk body lotion, both little-ish bottles, so will add that to the pot...

    Well done to everyone
    :hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

sadly there was a queue behind me and I was at the end with toiletries, choccy would have been nicer then the carex aloe vera handwash(which will last for a long long time!)....even worse it was on multi buy £1 for 1 or 4 for £3:eek::eek::eek:....I did just buy the 1 or it would have wiped out the benefit of the petrol coupon!
  • Belated happy birthdays to thifty and VALM(?).:bdaycake:

    I've been Money Tipped!
I keep thinking about a particular shade of Green eyeshadow .....I have loads of green eyeshadow but not PARROT green. Its ridiculous, but I want it. I'm trying o rationalise that as I'll wear it it will be a worthwhile deviation....I even paused a moment to work out whether this year was a leap year and whether (if it were, and its notm is it) that a 29th of Feb splurge could be left off the record.....

Parrot green.....not the various shades of emerald, khaki, moss, algae, jade and sea green I already own but PARROT green.
  • Hey all, hope you are doing well with your challenge or at least not spending as much as you did before:o. Busy day once again, was meant to take my eldest bowling, but the sweetie wanted to take his brother to the wacky warehouse, so we did that with some friends. Loads of posting for ebay yeah:). It is making me look at my wardrobe to see if there is anything i dont use/ like that i could get rid of, cause id like a new handbag, but need to make it more of a neutral spend by selling things iykwim.

I used up a mini bottle of shampoo today and finished a large bottle of Dove Conditioner, so two more bottle for the bin. WIBA? Yes because I love Dove Shampoo and Conditioner.

The only item I am tempted by at the moment is the Waitrose Cinnamon Bath stuff, it smells amazing...
This is the reason i have been been avoiding the toiletries aisle :)

    Morning all!

    Happy belated birthday thifty!!!

I agree with those who don't watch QVC so as not to be tempted... I don't watch it cos I find the sellers really patronising! :rotfl: Otherwise I'm sure I'd have succumbed to the TSVs by now.

Used up: a can of Batiste dry shampoo, so that's £1.95 into the savings pot. WIBA: Yes, I love it and have another 2 cans in reserve. A tip for any Batiste virgins though - DON'T buy the original scent (blue can) - it absolutely mings, try the blush one (pink can).

I am feeling fat and yucky today, sooo need to lose some weight but can't quite get it right. I am having a couple of good days followed by a couple of bad days like a merry go round! Gah.

rosemary54, your body oil sounds gorgeous!! Hope your psoriasis eases soon xo

Hope everyone is well this lovely (ahem) morning!
Is this the aqua coloured type one? Cause i love it:eek: makes my hair perk up lovely. Saying this though, i find that perfumes that really smell great on others dont smell so fab on me, maybe its the same sort of thing? I love light fresh small on others, but they smell like very strong cheap lemony washing up liquid on me:(. I tend to suit oriental, sweet, musky and warm floral fragrances.

I do need to buy a body butter really, am fed up muddling along with these ineffective cheapo lotions and the cheapo cream-that's-not-much-more-than-a-lotion-in-a-pot. The Bodyshop ones are best in the mid price range are they? The trouble is I dislike vanilla, nut, cocoa, foodie, sweet fruity and musky type perfumes , which is what they all seem to be.
    Any suggestions?
Ah these are my fave! How about something like FCUK polished range, they do a body souffle thats quite warm, but fresh too? Sanctuary Mande lular (sp) is also quite lovely without being musky/ foody lol.

Slightly o/t has anyone seen the signs for the Boots baby event in their local store? I need some baby bits and the extra points could go towards saving for my craving for a bottle of coco Chanel.

Dinner was lamb with rosemary, roasties, peas, sweetcorn and the obligatory yorkshires. Well off to make pancakes.....

    Nab
    xx
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
