Good challenge EH re the lent thing, so do you begin now? And finish when exactly? :j

Will have a bath later to use up/rinse out a bottle of Waitrose essentials sea kelp. The rest filled a hand wash bottle I have in the bathroom (a huge one).

I'm using the Waitrose essentials cinnamon bakes bath creme in my downstairs/ kitchen wash bottle and its beautiful! Just looking at QVC selling 4 L'Occitane shower gels for about £40. Erm even with my bad maths you could get 40 bottles of Waitrose essentials for that price! Makes you think eh.

My major problem area at the moment is... moisturiser and eye cream. I really have too many of each. Must keep remembering to slather lots of moisturiser around my neck. Still have lots of foundations too. Trying to save the more powdery type ones for summer when its hot (hopefully).

Right, catch you all later. Enjoy your pampering everyone. :A

I've not posted for a few days as I've had nothing to update on. Finished a can of body spray off tonight though and am coming towards the end of a bottle of toner so that should be gone tonight too.

I've decided I'm going to join whoever else it was on here and effectively give up buying toiletries for lent. I should stress that I am not in any way religious so my take on it is to not buy anything more until at least after we come back from our holidays after Easter. There - it's on the thread in black & white now so I don't have a choice! I can't think that there is anything I will need in that time so I have no excuse to slip up. :A Anyone else care to join us?

I'll join please I'm not religious either but I do think there are times were we have to stop and pause and think of all the things we take for granted and going without tends to focus us on what is important and what we really want. As superfical as it may sound I want to become debt free, not getting the latest the newist version of a cream that promises me the earth.I know that I'm 48years old and no product will make me look 20 no matter what the price:(

I love smellies and different lotions and potions but I have to stop beleving the hype and just enjoy being me:D

I had to go into Boots for hair dye, had no stash left, walked straight to the hair dyes, made my selection and headed to the till, kept my head down, didn't look at anything and got out fast. Total spent £8, very pleased with myself!

I suppose technically it'll be at Easter - that's about 8 weeks away isn't it. Yes, I think I can manage that...... Well, we'll see!

I've done PYN Sunday by the way - my nails are now a shade called "Rhubarb" by Botanics. :D

  • Hi ladies, thanks for your kind posts and patience with me:o. Dh has calmed down loads which is great for him, but unfortunately im left to deal with the fall out and the questions from the kids etc. Mental health problems suck:(.

Well on topic, still nothing used up but thought i would try and get together some of my stash and do a photo. Bear in mind this does not include any hair products or shower/ bath products either:eek:. Or anything in use :eek:.

Deep breath and hope this works

Nab- meant to pop in earlier today and say that I'm sorry you had rough times. On my way home from work this morning there was a lady on with Aled Jones and she was saying that Valentines day was initially brought in by the pope to celebrate St Valentine. He would send notes to everyone he cared for and tell them that they were special.
You are a Mum and that makes you the whole world to your small people. You are special and it's poo that not everyone can make us all feel special all of the time. ((((NaB))))- what the heck, have a dodgy hug :grouphug: :rotfl:.
In other news, your stash, WOW! It's lovely! I like your nailvarnishes, so pretty. I think I need them.
I'm fully into the not buying anything during lent. I think it starts on Wednesday and finishes on Easter Sunday. I may need lady bits though if I actually have one during that time (tmi but very irregular since having the coil :o) is that allowable?
Off for a bath now. Hopefully I will finish up the power rangers shower foam. Essexhebridean (I think), I'm glad you felt my pain!

Lent starts this Wednesday. Shrove Tuesday was traditionally the time to use up sugar etc, which is why is it now called Pancake Tuesday. Traditionally it finishes at sunrise on Easter Sunday, which this 4 April.

About to go and have my bath. I've finished off a sachet of Sisley Siselya eye cream and I will finish my Origins face wash tonight. Unfortunately, i keep finding things that I've stashed away. I found a Santuary hand set yesterday :o What is wrong with me? :o:o:o
