Hi, I have two orange mobile phones.

One is PAYG, one is contract.

I signed up for 12mth contract with e2save. Before I did this I rang orange and asked if it was possible to keep my payg no. They said it was, I then opted for the contract on e2save only to discover that the number can not be moved to the contract now.

I am stuck with a £360 contract I dont want and a number I don't wantas 14 days has expired and I can no longer return it. I prefer my PAYG number as I remember it - is there anything I can do to have my PAYG no. on contract without paying for my current contract?

Will I have to port it to another provider and only to portit back because carphone warehouse cant upgrade phone tariffs themselves?

    Happened same thing to me.

    Port your number to Vodafone,
then get PAC code from voda, will take a week.

Once you get it dial e2save and tell your PAC num.
If they say you were suppose to give it on signup then tell them you have talked earlier to CPW CS and were told that e2save can cancel/re-sale the contract and number can be ported within 4 weeks.

This way your current contract will be canceled and they will send you a new one on same deal with your ported number.

Thanks, When you say in 4 weeks do you mean within 4 weeks of the contract starting or that it will take 4 weeks to port the number onto my contract?

Why wont they let you transfer the number? I have always been fine at transferring my number which I have done a few times as it is too good a number to let go!

Something do with e2save cant transfer orange payg to orange contract. So I have to move phone no. to another company to sort their mess out!

No I asked them earlier and they said it's too late as it should have all been done by e2save . The closest thing I have to an answer is doing what webkami suggested. I have had a pac code generated but vodafone do not allow new customers at the weekend for PAYG only contract -how cheeky is that?

You can ask for this cancel/re-sale in first 4 weeks.

For other questions, e2save is bit diff from other when porting numbers. Initially they deny you can not port if you fail to provide PAC at signup. Maybe cause cancel/re-sale is the only way to do it for e2save and its a bit lengthy way.

Yes Orange will be able to port in a number at any time for their direct customers. Will they do it for e2save customers? I wouldnt count on that.

Besides if you go through e2save directly your new number will be on cash back records. They might find a reason to reject your claim if you port your self. (As bills and old records will show diff numbers)

Righto, the reason E2Save can't do that, is in actual fact, it's not a 'new contract', it is a migration....

It is processed completely differently to a normal contract - did you tell them at point of sale you wanted to keep your number from Orn PaYG to contract?
