    New issue:

    They serviced me last Friday (oo-eeerrr) but they've not banked my cheque still... how long should I leave it before I chase them up about it, do you think?

    Never. It's not your job to do that, you've paid them, the rest is their responsibility.

    Probably one of these outfits that only pay their cheques in on a Friday, regardless of whether it's a fiver or a thousand...
