I've been out all day, returning stuff, buying stuff, looking at stuff. Got all DS3's birthday presents now and most of the stuff for his party too. Did pop into my sister's for a cuppa and a sandwich before going on to Mr S which was lovely.MissHiggerty wrote: »Do calculations re Economy 7 (18% b/even; 15% lose out; 25% gain?)
That's the same figures as I worked it out at, well starting to profit at 22%, this week we are not putting anything extra on like dw/wm over night to take a weekly night useage/day useage figure and then next week we plan to do as much night useage as possible to gauge what is feasible before switching back to standard rate.
Also found out that the second of my two closest friends is pregnant (also with her second baby) and they're due within a few weeks of each other. I'm thrilled for both of them, but just a tiny bit jealous too...
Hugs Greenbee, do you think you would like children?poohbear59 wrote: »Can I just scream please? I have three men sitting watching TV, again. I find it so hard to get motivated when they just sit there. They are in here because the light is going/snow has stopped work/have no work. But I have a horrible feeling of deja vu.
Change that to four men! Another has just come in and sat down too.
Big hugs I'd find that very wearing too x
Maralum welcome home sweetie
Jinky Happy birthday to you and to you Dora and you too Mummyof5 hope you have all had a lovely day

Anyone got any good tips for cleaning wooden venitian blinds?
I have three blinds, two small ones and a large one 2 metres wide.
I started on today's list and although I knew the blinds were dusty I was horrified at how many cobwebs were behind them  (shows how long since I last did any cleaning behind them, or of the windows for that matter and so is the reason why I joined here!!) Anyway I hoovered all the cobwebs up and did the brush attachment over the blinds, but they still look quite dusty.
So all in all, today has been quite slow going for me as feel like done loads, but not achieved much
And to top it, went to school to see DD2's work and found the teacher had put a photo from yesterday's Planetarium visit with me in the background into her book and I look HUGE! Then found said photo had been put into ALL the children's booksMy problem is I forget that I'm no longer a size 10/12 and I always get shocked when I see a photo as I don't realise I look like that if you know what I mean?

I must apologise as haven't ready any previous posts - been really busy today and haven't stopped.
I was brave last night as asked for a pay rise for my typing job - haven't heard anything back but I'm not being unreasonable at all. If I don't get it I'll be . There's a part time work from home job going for a local hall just up the road and you just have to do 16 hours a month but only get £2,000. I'm wondering whether to apply or not - probably earn about £2,500 typing for the tax year so still wouldn't have to pay tax. I'm really not sure about the ironing job as I honestly don't know if anyone would be interested or not. Some people do a big black bag for £12 and I'm not prepared to do slave labour!
Anyhow, flying related, I'm really pleased that I've been able to do all my jobs and it really didn't take long at all (just over 30 mins I think). It just shows that if you keep on top of it then it really isn't so bad. I vacuumed the light shades and found out they're actually a pretty peach colour, not the mucky peach/dusty brown colour I thought they were .... no I'm not joking!

tc3061, I went to the school summer fair last year, and got caught eating a burger and the offending photo is now displayed in the school corridor with other school fair photos....I look like a buffallo!!!!!!!
I have decluttered the bottom of the stairs....small side table and grassy reed thigs in the car for charuty shop, car seat covers in the car awaiting to be put on and other bits put away. All shoes tidied in the porch as appossed to clogging up inside hall. Washing hung around on radiators with the heating on...no need for air fresheners
Now if I get and clean out the fire, I will get another star...................0 -

Zoe, if they park in your space then your best bet is probably to phone the police, or the council. Who is in charge of actually marking out your space? They would probably be the ones to enforce it? Just guessing really. As your neighbours are a nightmare, it’s probably best to be prepared for them to park in your space and work out how you are going to stop them. Don’t let them get away with it if they do.
Macpep, thanks, yeah I’ve got agoraphobia and tend to panic when outside alone! So it was a big thing to do. But I’m determined to conquer this, not least because I really need to exercise! Since going on antidepressants, I’ve ballooned into a huge person!
TC, I can sympathize with you, see my comments to Macpep above, I get a huge shock when I see photos of myself these days
Keys, when you go advanced, highlight the text you want to cross out and click the button that has an S with a line through it. It will strike through your text. I hope your tooth ache goes soon
Today I've cleaned sink and loo, 5 mins shelf clearing, put away dry washing, shredding x 2 (filling up the basket twice) but the shredder is broken again! Need to have another fiddle with the hanger.
I've got to do the washing up now, and 2x 10 mins LR tidying before bed. Can you tell I've put off the most hated jobs till last.
Greenbee, i knew you would tell me I don't need Inspector Morse, but actually, yes I do! I've got every episode ever broadcast and you can't make me get rid of them:rotfl:
