I own an orange spv m500 pocket pc phone.
Bascially, it has a recurring problem where after 2 or so months use the phone will get inefficient and slow to the point that it crashes, and then wipes everything on the phone. It then does a master reset and the phone is as it came from the factory. Then cycle starts again. I know the problem is not from something I do. I keep as much of the phone clear of memory to reduce inefficiency. I believe it is a software fault.
After speaking to Orange a numerous times they tell me its this and its that, thats causing the problem. All of which are not only unrelated to the fault but also self explanantory, such as if phone runs out of battery it will lose all memory or that I should do a master reset. They even have the cheek to tell me that the fault I'm having is impossible, making out that I'm fibbing.
Is there anything I can do so that they will be proactive in actually taking my phone back to fix instead of the long winded process of finding a fault that is not physically apparent.
Thanx peeps

I dont know the answer to your question but the good folks at www.modaco.co.uk will probably be able to point you in the right direction. loads of advice about all kinds of smartphone /pocket pc problems there.
You are right about Orange though, whenever I've had a problem with my spv c550 I end up furious because although it is an Orange branded phone they know nothing about it, and talk utter drivel I end up teaching them the basics of its operation. If they tell me once more to do a hard reset I will scream.0 -
