on minor road turning right at junction with side road.along edge of road large old trees.
no other traffic either way.indicated turned into side road.car completely into side road when out of nowhere hit by push bike.at the front wheel arch.my speed was about 10/15 mph.no damage to my car except for scuff mark.
no damage to him or hes bike .he asked me if i was ok.he did not ask for any details he did not call or attempt to call either police or ambulance.he said he was alright and was going i gave him my mob number(fool).
Two days later I received phhone calls stating he had a fractured shoulder.and his bike was a write off and how much the frame he had always wanted was.he tried to get me to meet him.I am 17 and female i said no.
I then received a phone call in which a man claimed he was a police officer
and tried to get me to go to a police station.again i refused as he would not give me his name or number.
Then a couple of weeks later my dad answered the door a man(50) looking like worsel gummage.Asked if
lived here my dad asked him several times who he was he finally stated I am a police officer. my dad asked him to show his warrant card.he stated he did not have to.my dad said yes you do.he again refused.my dad said wait there he closed the door and phoned 999.
The man went over to his car.Yet against my experience there was three police cars surrounding his car within minutes.Obviously he denies it.
I have now been contacted by my own insurance asking about the incident
i have now recieved a letter from a no win no fee vulture.
I have asked insurance company how this firm got my insurance company details as it should be protected by data protection and they can only give info to another insur com.avoided this.
sorry so long.

Go to the police and tell them what's been happening, including the harrassment and that nobody was injured in the accident.
Tell your insurance company exactly what happened, refer everything to them.0 -
The Motor Insurance Database (MID) enables people with access (namely police, insurance companies, MIB, road tax fund people) to put a vehicle registration number in and a date and it gives back the name of an insurance company, a policy number and their claims telephone number. It does not give out any details of the policyholder themselves.
Solicitors would normally contact the MIB to get them to check the MID for your insurance details. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

mortgage mamma can you explain what you mean by susBefore you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

I think what is meant by sus is that the biker was obviously a scammer, he first tried to get you alone to put a squeeze on you perhaps intimidate you a little, that having failed he then sends around worzel again this fails he tries the next best thing and hires quincy m.e. instead who gets your details and throws a claim into your motor insurers, go back to your insurers and relay all to them and they will most certainly sort this t&at out for you.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

actually this post is not me its for my daughter. we have already had the accident investigater around who tesco insurance hired. we explained all details to her but she did not want to know speak to tesco she said im just taking details of what happened! im sure scam is part of what happened.we have it logged with police about worzel making out he was a police officer.this chap did not go to the hospital until the next day and also went to a hospital 12 miles away passing two other hospital with casualties.we just feel our 17year old daughter will be sent down the swanny for some scamerBefore you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

Have you been questioned about worzel? Impersonating a police officer is a serious criminal offence, one which I have only ever seen dealt with by imprisonment. Do you know whether the police are taking this any further? It would obviously be helpful in refuting the biker's scam claim if worzel is convicted of pretending to be a policeman.0

I hope that doesnt happen, but the police will say the accident should has been reported whether there was a casualty or not. without being party to any of this, its hard to be certain, but there's definately a strange ring to the events that happened. How did the man who turned up at your address stating he was a police officer know where you lived? Have you seen a solicitor about this? I think you should take some legal advice.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Why should it have been reported if there was no injury?0 -
at time there was no injury two days later phoning daughter asking for money .if he had a broken collar bone he would have been in agony and not been able to ride his bike 5 miles up the road. we do not know where he got our address but my daughters phone is registered so he might have got it through that.also why did he leave going to hospital next day and also one 15 miles away when there are 2 casualties before the one he went to.Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0
