Disney Cruise

Has anyone been on the disney cruise and would you recommend? Thinking about taking our girls next year - they are 3 in September 2010?

Thanks:rotfl:

my cousin took her two daughters on a Disney Cruise and they loved it, but they were older - 9 and 11, they had a lot of entertainment, and a lot of activities, it was busy all the time she said. I'm not too sure about very young children but I'd imagine they'd be very well catered for
To those who are given much, much is expected

        £2025 in 2025 = £680.60
          Food Budget £180/9.30.
            Fiver Friday #13 £35
          1. Go for it kids are only young once and Disney is perfect for little ones.

          2. We loved it! We went on a 3 day one for our honeymoon and had a fabulous time! Since then we have been on a 2nd 3 day cruise and a 7 night western caribbean cruise! And we have booked for Next year already too.

Everyone thinks Disney is just for kids but thats not true. Disney Cruise line cater for everyone. They have so much going on for kids you wouldnt believe! They have about 3 clubs for kids (depending on their age) where they do all sorts of fun things and get to meet characters etc.

But there is also a lot going on for Adults too. If your kids are in the clubs then there is the adults only pool and bar, the spa and loads of activities going on too. It really is an amazing holiday!

However it is definately not a cheap holiday! I have always spent alot of time "researching" the best rooms and the best prices etc but have always found this company to be the best - www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com

They always manage to get me onboard credit, and the best rates available.

Also if you have any specific questions you should try this board - www.disboards.com There are UK forums and Disney Cruise Line forums that would be able to offer specific advice!

I agree with LauraFoster. Disney Cruise is fab! We have two children age 1 and 6 and they both had a great time when we went on a 4 night cruise last november. The 1 year old got lots of attention from the characters onboard and my eldest loved the kids clubs and Castaway Cay which is Disneys private island.
We decided not to go to florida this year and have booked a 10 night mediterrean cruise with Disney Cruise Line and we go May half term....can't wait. Am also booked on the Disney Dream next year which is Disneys brand new boat which sets sail jan 2011. They really are fun and exciting trips although more expensive than other cruise liners. I am happy to pay the extra though!!
          4. If you don' mind me asking how much do these cruises cost in comparison to going to the US? Only asking out of curiosity. Think my kids are a bit young yet but it would be nice to know a rough figure to aim for in the future

          5. We are also looking into it - http://www.thedibb.co.uk is a great place to find loads of advice. We've used loads of their hints for WDW holidays - and great money saving advice on there as well
          6. I don't know much about cruises but was thinking of a Disney one... Do they ever sail from the UK? or do you have a fly to the relevant port first? DD is 6 and i know she would love all the activities...

          7. There is a one that leaves from Dover.

We have been looking at the med 10 nights, it is on offer for May of this year for 2 adults and then 2 children up to the age of 17 go free - works out at the 2K figure. More ifo can be foun on HDUK

Thank you for all the info x
          8. When I clicked on the HDUK link all the prices were a lot more than the offer said. I didn't look further into it so may have missed something. Shame the offer is only for 2 kids, at that price I'd think of taking ours who are 4, 3 and 1

Disney are quoting £1800-£2000 per person for a 10 night cruise - £180-£200 a night is expensive for a Med cruise and at this price you are certainly paying for the children, despite what they say.
