How long should it take to get MAC code?

Asked Tiscali / Talktalk about a week ago and they said it would be posted out & emailed?
Google gives you answers use it.........

I have twice requested my MAC from Pipex and both times got it by text next day as well as it being left on my answering machine at home more than once, emailed to me and finally by letter within 5 days.
I think they are supposed to provide it within 5-7 days.0 -
I remember seeing that the Ofcom regulations say 5 working days somewhere.
