Orange or O2?

Options
Hi all,
I want to get a new 12 month contract with a Samsung E900 phone. Obviously I want the best deal. I am currently on Orange PAYG but have had a contract with them in the past with no problems. After reading a few threads etc on here, it sounds like Orange contracts are not excellent these days e.g. charging for itemised billing etc. So I am now considering jumping ship to O2.
I see e2save have an E900 on O2 200 for 7 months free and then £30/month.

So my questions to you good people are:
1) Is it best to leave Orange for O2, if so why?
2) Is the above deal any good, or can you suggest better?

Thanks in advance!

I've found that O2 have excellent coverage as does Orange but since France Telecom took over Orange, i've found their tariffs are no longer competitive. I would definetely give O2 a go. They do some great online tariffs with loads of freebies.

    Just taken out a contract with Onestopphoneshop. E900 on Orange Canary 30, 12month contract. 200mins X-net + some Orange-Orange mins + 75txts + 8 months free + £20 Quidco cashback.

The phone arrived yesterday morning and was unlocked which was an unexpected bonus (when the Orange contract comes to an end).

    hth.

Orange have recently decided to charge for itemised billing. Most networks are already charging for this service, but provide a free online service.

How good is the o2/Orange (or other networks if you are considering other networks) reception generally in your area? You need to find out. If you switch networks and o2 (or other networks) has bad coverage in your area, then you will be stuck with your o2 (or whichever you signed up to) contract.

0870, 0845 numbers are included in your monthly minutes on an o2 contract, so it might save you money when dialling these numbers, whereas I think these are not included on other networks.

You want the best deal, how? Do you want 12 months free line rental on a 12 months contract? What is your current usage like? Texts/Calls? Daytime/night time? Weekday/weekend? Mobile Internet? 3G phone/ usage? Is it the latest phone you're after? Max monthly line rental willing to pay? etc...
