When using Internet Explorer 7, some website pages finish loading very slowly.

The main part of page loads ok, but the adverts load 45 seconds later !!
During this my scroll bar on right of page is locked, so I cannot scroll contents of article which is really annoying.
Using Firefox, although ads load later, scroll bar is not locked.
I read somewhere else that pages could be waiting for adverts from ad bot servers.
Any idea what problem is with Internet Explorer & scroll bar being locked until ads load ?
Is there a way to solve problem ?

1.update java 2.update ie8 3.dump temp files thru control panel
for xp(i'm guessing thats your os here as you didnt say) if remember right start>control panel>performance and maintenace>then if memory serves me right 4 options at top, 3rd up from bottom >dump files or something like that sorry havent used xp in a long while now and my memory not what is used to be.
4.defrag computer option in peformance and maintenance.
i'm reckoning you havent done 3&4 in an awful long time if ever and if you havent defrag will take a while. my sister was always the same with this get the phone call my computers slowed down i think its broke. just she was too lazy to do what i showed her and then wandered why.
also as a matter of course i would suggest as you havent mentioned it some adware software this ones free and aliEnRIK put me onto this free one which is suitable heres a copy and paste of one of his posts

One thing that can really slow dow Internet Explorer is running lots of Add-ons. I recommend going under the Tools menu, selecting Manage Add-Ons, and disabling most, if not all of them.
I would definently also recommend upgrading to IE8 as soon as possible. Here is a link to get you started:

Adblock Plus is essential unless you have a superfast PC and fibre optic connection that can cope with all those annoying ads!0
