advise please, got into the car this morning. leant over to the passenger side to unfold the left exterior mirror and ended up knocking the interior mirror off the windscreen.

A bit of the windscreen has come away with the mirror. Any suggestions on what to do?

    Try the pet shop.

Realised later that there is probably a bit of glass or glue stuck the the mirror holder, if you don't glue this into the original hole and you go for the double sided sticky pad method you are going to have to grind this crap off to get a flat surface to stick to the glass. Secondly you may find that the surface area for the little mirror mounting is not going to be big enough for the sticky pad to be able to hold the weight of the mirror so you might need to attach it some other way.

Actually don't use superglue as I've read that it is no good for the job, I don't think it would work anyway, but apparently it doesn't expand and contract with the glass, so can cause the glass to to crack.
