  • Ok, but the photo posted is of a premium unit (silver tray and HDD bulge). Who is going to be the 1st person to take issue with PC World..........

The picture they post really doesn't mean anything though just like the fact it says rip music to the hard drive really doesn't mean anything. It's marketing blurb.

What it looks like you are getting in their package is a core system, a memory card, and a wireless controller.

Like advertising a car and showing a photo of it with wheels, then delivering it without wheels and saying they are extra? If I bought one of these (I didn't because I think £240 is still overpriced) and got delivered the base model then my solicitors would be having some very sharp words with PC World.
The photo could be claimed by them to be a mistake, but stating that you can rip music to the hard drive when one isn't included is definitely in the territory of "conning" the public.
Does anyone know if this offer has been included in any of their printed brochures?

People have already said that what they got was the premium but you really couldn't use the rip music thing as an excuse because whilst it may not be included in the box, you can buy it seperately.

Congrats to the pople that did get one however :)

Yeah but the Sony fanboys will always stop by, quoting some rubbish to try and stop people buying.

It was always going to be a premium, there were never any doubts. Mine arrived yesterday and as expected, yes it is a premium and I'm plenty happy.
