I got this email a while back, its got to be a good deal has it not?

It only available via the email so can't get cashback via rpoints etc.

Included in this price is itemised billing at 99p. Itemised billing is excluded from cashback or linerental discount deals.

Can you cancel the itemised billing or does that count as changing the contract which you can't do for 6 months?

This deal does not show up when you browse through their normal site (as you mention that you want cashback from rpoints), as possibly they don't want to pay the cashback sites the referrers' fee(s), that is why you should note the address starts with http://offers.one.... (for your email deal and others specials deals that you may not find on the norma site) and not http://www.one...

I have found a similar deal which offers 11 months free line rental (12 for a successful tracked and verified sign up online). In order to get your contract effectively free for 12 months, you need to go through a cashback site such as rpoints and Quidco, as they are paying £20 for signing up online (strange to see both of these sites offering the same amount as usually Quidco offers more . Anyway to get this deal go to the main site starting with http://www.one... either search by make and model (Nokia 6111) and then click on o2 deals (or viceversa) and it should be the first one, otherwise search by the 12 month contract (it should be the orange tab), the deal should be the last (bottom right of the page) to get the deal.

You need to ask them and get confirmation from them that if cancelling the itemised billing, will it affect your cashback. My opinion is that cancelling shouldn't affect your cashback as itemised billing is optional, that is why you don't get it back on your cashback, hence

Itemised billing is excluded from cashback or linerental discount deals.

Therefore you should cancel this asap after signing up.

I have had email confirmation from a contact inside OSPS that (a) line rental is cancellable and (b) it does not affect your cashback.

I imagine that anecdotal evidence from people who have gone before you and done just this would concur with this position.

E2Save seem to have the same offer, but with a higher quidco cashback and are a more resepcatable name i'm really tempted by this as i really like the 6111

e2save only giving 11 months cashback not the 12 stated here from OSPS- PLUS "respectable name" is I'm afraid a total misnomer- they are both owned by carphone warehouse and e2save are getting a right caning on multiple threads at the moment
