SonyEricsson W995 Wifi Problem

Hi,

My partner has a SE W995. She would like to be able to access the web via Wifi therefore not incurring data charges.

I have connected the phone to our Wifi successuly but whenever i go to the orange world browser option it says i can only access the service via orange network GPRS.

ANy idea how to get surfing the web via wifi?

(we'd also like to sync google calenders but again no join)

i got it now.

use bookmarks.... not orange world!

is it possible to edit the menu options?

after a bit more fiddling i have it all working. now i just need to be able to disable data usage and have it googlesync only when connected to wifi.

any ideas?

if i create a new data account and fill in with dummy settings will that stop any data charges and only allow connection via wifi?

You could just remove the OrangeInternet APN, no need to create a dummy setup

i was wishing to leave it in case it is ever needed.
