I will try and ask my friend who works there but they are probably items that are being discontinued..They should have guarantees...I get cheap items from her which only cover a 3 month guarantee I think I can;'t remember but that's for staff getting them cheap. They should have a full guarantee I should think of 1 or 2 years...I will see if I can find anything out..They should be brand new if they are selling them on their website..

Jools, I tried following in your footsteps, but couldn't find any reviews on ciao or dooyoo. Tried the search terms 'morphy richards 48245' and 'morphy richards breadmaker' but all that came back were links to shops selling the item and no reviews. Could I know how you managed it, please?

I did find one review on kelkoo, which gave it one star out of five and complained that it kept burning the loaves.

I just put the item code into google and it came up with reviews straight away on Amazon though only two if you're interested:

Thank you, Darren. I found the Kelkoo one, but the Amazon ones you found seem far more reassuring. Think I'll take a chance on this and get it. Always wanted to try making bread on a more regular basis.

Can't see these being refurbs/graded as if they were MR woudl have to clearly state that fact. Like a previous poster, I think these are soon to be discontinued products that MR can't/don't want to send out to their retailers so best thing to do is chuck them on their online shop at silly prices and hope someone from a huge site like this one sees them. LOL.

Incidentally, the I Create styling tongs (22048) would appear to be a billy bargain as it seems to me that the previous price MR were supposedly selling thsi for was approx 50% of the rrp! MR are charging £8-odd for them, they are elsewhere on the internet at up to £50!!
