HD box stuck on standby

Yesterday i could not get my HD box to come out of standby,
rang them once, went through all the rigmarole of turning off, turning on etc. lights came on on the box, he told me to let it down load for 10 minutes then try again. lights went out, same thing, back to standby.
Went through it all again on a second call with no luck. Guy said it would have to be an Engineers visit.
Me - is it possible to have a free engineers visit.
Him - I'll just ask my supervisor.
Him - 1 minute later. Yes, thats fine Mrs C, because you have been a customer for a long time we will waive the £65 charge,
Wow, it was really as easy as that.
I miss my HD box so much, cant wait to have it back again tomorrow.
