Ebays long item numbers in Excel

Since ebay extended the item numbers from the likes of 9150225874 to 300002885187, I have great problems copy and pasting the new longer ones in excel. I even pre format the columns in advance and the numbers still end up with a + 11 on the end.
Any advance of how to set up excel for these new numbers?

Great question I'm having the same problem. I correct manually "format cell" but it just adds time and hassle.
Any ideas anyone?0 -

Select the column you want to format. When it is highlighted, goto 'Format' from the menu, then 'Cells'.
It should bring up a menu of possible types for the cell. It should already be on 'Number', and show 2 decimal places. Set the decimal places to '0' save, and presto........no more '+11'

That is the logical solution but doesn't work! It will do it for any numbers already there but as soon as you add a new line it reverts to +11!!0 -

Not on mine. Office XP Pro .... all new lines continue to follow the new rules.
You did click 'save'.....didn't you

Just to point out it only happens when you cut and paste the number from EBay and not when you type the number in.
When I buy on EBay I cut and paste the number in.0
