Why should we have to though tiggrae really?? Surely if they remove overdrafts for complaining about PPI that WAS missold then this would be classed as retaliation and you could complain to the FSA.Open up another current account elsewhere, if you've a good credit history you should be able to get the same overdraft limit and therefore, remove any worry
Are you saying that they are within their rights to remove overdrafts for complaining?0 -
Does anyone have a template letter about how to ask for your money back? I rang A&L this morning they told me to write to them requesting my loan agreement and to enlose a cheque for £1.00( which i have done) I have a SAR printed off ready incase i hear nothing from them. When and if i recieve my agreement how do i ask for my money back ( im not to good at writing letters so it would be useful if anyone has a template they could post for me) Many thanx ( and sorry if i am being a pain):)0

Hi, you have to have your own valid reasons for reclaiming and then you need to write to them with these reasons.martinsmum wrote: »Does anyone have a template letter about how to ask for your money back? There is a reclaiming guide here
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
which has a template type letter but its best to use only as a guide. You then write to the firm and give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. Send everything recorded delivery and if after 8 weeks (or before if you receive a final response) they do not respond in your favour then you are free to use the FOS.

My wife had two loans in the early 2000's or even as early as the 90's from alliance and leicester with very little paperwork or account details from then.....any use trying to claim anything ? some ads say they can go back 15 years ! is that possible?0

Shes had a halifax account that she paid the loans to A&L for years and its still running, could i trace the loans info via her pay account ?0

Your bank may have info, you wont know until you ask, ring A&L too, they may find the account if you give them enough info.
Look here for reasons for mis sell

If any/all apply to you and you had ppi on the above loans, then make a claim.0
