Disappointed...

I just want to say that recently I have been very disappointed to read several posts by a few different members on various threads on this board which have been either down right rude, insulting or generally mean spirited. It's not the kind of atmosphere I have come to expect from this board or MSE forum in general and makes me not want to post... :(

I guess what i'm saying is.. if you can't say something nice, helpful or relevent better not to say anything at all..

But to all you lovely ladys out there who are always lovely, helpful and chatty *hugs* You're all great :D

rant over :)

I think it's more the fact that people are just starting threads up willy nilly and then get !!!!y when no one replies. I think people should make their own wedding threads. If they have a genuine emergency like "I need help to fin this garter" or something along those lines that's fine. But I don't know if it's just me but it annoys me.

Have none of you heard of confetti.co.uk? You can talk all the wedding drivel you like over there without winding anyone up ;)

Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
  • I have noticed a couple of comments too, however with the nature of this board (money saving + weddings + stress + advice) I think it's going to get like that sometimes. Perhaps though that minority could have better manners and more respect for others!

Unless of course - someone has a problem with me please say so cos I'd hate to be offending people!

There have been a few snarky comments but I don't think any of them were wedding board 'regulars' that I have seen. It does annoy me a little bit to when the same people start lots of threads on diff stuff when one would do...

I have to say I have also noticed some yukky posts but tend to ignore them. I too don't read every post :o

I tell you what gets on my nerves the post people trying to flog their services but are trying to make out they have used that particular service  We may be Bridezillas but we're not STUPID!!!

I must have missed something, I haven't noticed anything on this board!
I am a lurker on here (in the hope that one day things will be sorted and I can join you all) but not seen any comments I consider rude. Having said that, I dont read every thread.
For me, MSE has been my life saver and I have nothing but help with no one slating me (despite my obvious shortcomings and naivety!)
Laura - I do agree that sometimes, if people can't say something nice, they shouldnt say anything at all but then some people find that difficult. Personally I like to see things from another point of view and if I was considering something that others thought was truely ghastly/offensive or just wrong, I hope people would be honest enough to say. Then again, there are ways and means of saying it without offending others. :)
