If the train has already closed its doors then the two of them should get off at the next station and travel back.

Works assuming it's the London Underground but on other lines it may be a long wait for the next train back and a heavy freight train may come along first. If the passengers were travelling home and don't have season tickets then they're tickets may not be valid to do that.
  • Not a chance. Furious? Demands? I don't respond well to rude people, so unless she is nice about it, she is hobbling to work. If she is nasty, she is also getting sarcastic comments to go with her lost shoe. Harsh, but fair.

It does say she demanded them it says that she asks if you will be replacing them - it doesn't say what tone she used.
  • Depends, its all abit vague , but from the info given and assuming both parties are polite i would expect pete to appologise and help to get staff to retrieve shoe.

    Nab

    xx
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)
  • No definitely not, it was an accident, why would she expect me to replace the shoes, accidents happen
  • I would apologised and just get on the train, it might be a scam where the lady say's they are expensive shoes but infact cheap ones and expect you to pay for them or i might offer her my phone number to get in touch with me withthe original receipt and if she phoned tell her she's got the wrong number!!
  • ...thank you.
  • NO, it's simple as that.

I agree if possible stop the doors from closing or get off at the next station and travel back and contact a member of staff to help get the shoe.

But it was her own fault for not wearing better fitting shoes, it's a well know fact that at some stage your going to have to run for the train so be prepared for it.

I've had to run for the train when I worked in london and you always see people doing it so why should she be any different.:)
Don't forget you can donate 24 Felix tokens to help feed a cats protection cat/kitten that's in care
their are loads of cats/kittens awaiting there forever home
don't forget the the oldies who are just as much fun

Dropping a brand going great :D thanks Martin and team

Ok, if I reversed into you in a car park, it would be ok for me to refuse my insurance details and drive off? After all, it was an accident.

Im not picking on you in particular but this is aimed at everyone who thinks it should be forgotten on the basis of an accident.

I presumed she was already standing on the train, he rushed on and caught her foot. Depending on what she was doing at the time my answer would change completely. I really don't think you can blame her at all if she was standing there.
  • What did the MSE Team member do....?

We wouldn't be pushing and shoving in the first place so the situation wouldn't have happened. It is hypothetical you know.
