Hi, my 19 year old son has been really silly in signing a 24 month contract with vodaphone which he now cannot pay. (Motorbike crash then lost job) any help on how he can get out of the contract would be much appreciated. Its gone to manual handling (?) and then the collections agency (which i guess debt agency?). I thought if i offered to pay £5 a month (I'm on low wage also) and he not use the phone until cost of phone paid off if they would accept that? Any ideas please

Sorry, there are no gets outs. No loopholes. He agreed to a legally binding contract.
You can try to get them to take an amount he can afford each week/month, but the netwrok won't enable the phone until he's up to date with his payments.
Its far better to talk to the network then letting it get to an agency which might leave a black mark on his credit file for the next 6 years.
Call the billing team, explain what's happened and see what they can do to help, its not in their interests to pass it to an agency if they can do something to help. . .0 -
Thank you - I know you have to let them make mistakes but this will be a costly one!!2010 has got to be better than the last two years!! :rotfl:
