Mmmmmm know what you mean pinkneon - this moneymaking business is just one uphill slog sometimes - think it's actually harder than my 'proper job'!
£28 from some e bay sales for me today, + £6.77 from Amazon (sold a couple of travel books recently btw - guess it's 'that time of the year') and a £5 bingo win total £39.77 so not grumbling

lol i totally agree!!!! I think aswell, since i did all the "big things" like claiming back pensions, sticking anything and everything on ebay/amazon, reclaiming bank charges, snowballing and transferring like a crazy person etc.... i'm actually starting to run out of things to do!
My surveys are few and far between, bingoport has gone from making me £30 a week to £5 a month (so i've lost interest), my daily scratch hasn't been more than 10p in so long that i keep forgetting to do it, and the bits and bobs i've actually got left to sell are driving me nuts coz their obviously the things that i've not been able to shift in the last 18 months
Its getting harder and harder to find those £10s a day!
Think i might start a small business to supplement my normal job, just don't know what to do???
The daft thing is, i'm debt free so it's not like i "need" the cash, but i've become obsessed with saving, and desperately want to be in my own house this time next year (if not sooner). I look at my brother, and he's running two businesses, and holding down a day job, and putting in over time and constantly !!!!!!ing off to fabulous places, and he sees it all as really demanding and resents having to work so hard, but i'd kill to be in his situation! I work for the family business which has no scope for overtime at all (or promotion, or raises) and if i were to take a second job i'd pay so much tax and NI that I end up working for about £3 an hour :mad::mad:Debt@LBM1=£4050 1st DFD 27/08/09Debt @LBM2 =£14,469.97 2nd DFD 14/03/2018 :T

My grandad worked abroad most of his life and so everywhere he went he brought my nan back a thimble. Theres a fair few German/Swiss/Dutch aswell as tonnes of Welsh/Scottish and English Heritage (lots of museums). These account for about 2/3 of them! Then there are birds/dogs/flowers (another 20+). Then Royals, lots of Charles & Di (another dozen). Then there are some smaller sets of pairs and trios which are covered in Mother of Pearl, some just metal (i reckon pewter), and even some wooden ones. It really is a mixed bag lol, so i don't know whether selling as a "job lot" would work as what would be in it would be so diverse? Or am i being way too over analytical and it would go for £100 tomorrow?
If I was you doing it for myself I would do a number of small lots based on type but for work I would list as one lot. Thimble collectors would buy the lot and resell what they didn't want, if there were any. Someone who collects Royal memorabilia might bid and take out those, flog the rest. And so on. If you have the time then split them into lots otherwise give it a try and do one big one. OR you could ask your local auction house if they want to sell for you, they would usually give you a free valuation. But its not such a collected field as it used to be so I would go with eBay first
