  • My ebay item finished today. Was hoping for £150 and got over £400! So very pleased. Cash on collection next weekend so won't update until I have received it. Touch and go whether it will be included in this month's or next month's target. We'll see. Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

    Hiya all,

I have no update again... thinking I might just give up on Feb and start planning ahead to March now and getting stuff sorted out for some extra pennies in March instead. :o

I have a little question.. I've searched but cannot find the answer and I know you're all expertc on the old cash back :D I've just joined upto Quidco and gone through them for some bits and pieces I needed anyway. Is there a minimum withdrawal limit on there for when you're taking money out?

    xx

Can any one give me any details about survey sites please? Or any oher ways to make money? (i already do the cashback sites but as most of you know it takes time for those pennies to add up!!)

I have a referal link for p!nec0ne if you are intersted, or anyone else too, just PM me

I don't think there is a min withdrawl amount sweet - add your banking account details for BACS payment and I am sure there is not for that. There might be for other payment options if there are some though

I had a good night. Drowned a few sorrows with a friend going through a similar problem with her dad too. Got in early this morning and been feeling a bit delicate all day. Looking forward to an early night tonight thats for sure

ARGH I just went to revise one of my eBay items and found that the photo hadn't loaded...so I have 50+ items with the same photo of a phone! Just plodding through and changing them now.

Total is now at £225.12 thanks to some more eBay and Amazon sales.

Sweetpeas - no, no minimum. I have set mine at £0, so anything over that they have to transfer to my account on their usual deposit day :)

Amazon - my sales for work have only been 3 this week. We have 1700 items listed! Soolin has had the same problem this week so I don't think its just you. Must be the time of year or something

I sold approx 40 thimbles in one lot on work eBay last year for about £110. I would try them there in a job lot. Its not worth listing all individually as most are not valuable enough unless its unusual, silver or a very good maker. You could do one big lot or smaller lots depending on type

Instruments also sell well on eBay but you could do collection only. Otherwise do you have a music shop in your area where you could advertise or ask for advice?

It never even occurred to me to use a courier service!!! Oooohhh theres going to be much googling of that in a min me thinks! :D I did ask a couple of local music shops, including the one where most of the items came from, and whilst they sell second hand instruments they'll only accept them as part-ex on a new instruments, which then keeps their second hand range well stocked. Every single one of them said for cash "try ebay"

Glad it's not just me who's amazon has gone quiet, i suppose we may be well and truly into the post-christmas lull as most peoples january pay go towards paying off december's extravagances, and February's pay hasn't come in yet ... hhhmmmmmm. While i'm on the topic, my amazon stuff is mostly Uni books, we're talking 2-3 inch thick biology/biochemistry/genetics texts, and i just can't seem to shift them! The smaller paperbacks flew out no problems! But these hefty ones just won't go, and i can't understand why, when new they are £70-100, mine are mint and i'm selling for £25-30??? Any ideas of specialist sites i don't know about? or any desperate student lurkers out there who need some cheap books? lol

The thimbles are a weird mixed batch really, i've got a few sets like Months of the Year, so those 12 are being sold as a set, but the majority are of places. My grandad worked abroad most of his life and so everywhere he went he brought my nan back a thimble. Theres a fair few German/Swiss/Dutch aswell as tonnes of Welsh/Scottish and English Heritage (lots of museums). These account for about 2/3 of them! Then there are birds/dogs/flowers (another 20+). Then Royals, lots of Charles & Di (another dozen). Then there are some smaller sets of pairs and trios which are covered in Mother of Pearl, some just metal (i reckon pewter), and even some wooden ones. It really is a mixed bag lol, so i don't know whether selling as a "job lot" would work as what would be in it would be so diverse? Or am i being way too over analytical and it would go for £100 tomorrow?

soarsie i think the car boot would be as a last resort for anything i can't shift! I did this recently with my wardrobes, and took 15 bin bags of clothes, made about £50 and twelve bags still ended up at the charity shop, so i suppose it's battered my confidence a little. But definitely one to keep in mind. Always reminds me of shows like carbooty where people find £1500 worth of junk just lying around their house, so jealous :p
