Use Ocado.
Great service.
Best Which online shopping company IIRC.
Your letter contains valid points but they'll get bored halfway through. I did.0 -

Is it that obvious from the original post? Disappointing, that - I hoped I'd be able to keep it back, you know - keep my powder dry until later on and then if necessary send them a picture of me sat in a wheelchair (I'll borrow it from old Mr Coggins two doors down) looking mournful.
Not sure how I'll necessarily tie that up with a few ripped boxes and me not being reimbursed two quid, mind, but I'll think of something.
Can you help?0 -
Hello voiceofreason.

I will re-send, with the following coda:
Mippy the Wondercat was, additionally, very disappointed by this state of affairs. Tell me, do your drivers normally go out of their way to wreck any boxes of Go-Cat Complete Fishy-Smelling Biscuity Fish-Shaped Fish Treats that might end up in the back of their vans? I've a good mind to report you to the RSPCA for this; Mippy was saddened at having to miss out on these delicious dinner-time munchies, instead having to slum it and eat Asda Smartprice "Maybe Meat" Catfood-Like Tinned Product.
But that's ok with him; Mippy likes Asda. He doesn't like Tesco.
Not any more, not since they killed dinnertime.
Nothing constructive to add except this post actually had me (and OH after reading it to him) crying with laughter!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Again nothing constructive, but I do hope everything works out for Mippy, I'm sure all the kitty cats can understand the extreme distress the poor little mite has been put under. Terrible occurance lol.Learning to be 'good with money'0

Well, a weekend's been and gone - and with judicious use of snuggles and the dregs of a tin of tuna after my sandwich, Mippy's at least speaking to me now.
Though he's begun to hiss whenever he hears the Tesco ad on the telly, which I suppose is fair enough.
I received an email from Tesco on Sunday, too - though it advises of the requested refund and does give an apology (credit where due, they got onto that quickly) it doesn't really address the knackered boxes, and you'll notice skirts round the fact that one of these boxes was so damaged that I lost a pouch of catfood out of it:
Dear Mr Reason,
Thank you for contacting tesco.co.uk regarding your order.
I would like to apologise again for any difficulty you may have encountered with your order.
I have now refunded £some money back into your account for the following items. This should appear within the next few days.
QTY Description
1 bottle of laundry detergent
Thank you again for contacting us, and I look forward to your continued custom with us.
Regards
Tesco Bloke
(Customer Service Manager)
I'm not going to stand for this - and I know Mippy deserves better - so I've drafted and sent the following.
Mippy is not going to miss out!
Dear Tesco Bloke,
Many thanks for your swift response here regarding refund, which is much appreciated.
Please would you also be able to advise - as mentioned in my original email - firstly how I should go about obtaining a refund/replacement for the missing pouch of catfood (regarding which the driver on the night advised me to contact Tesco Customer Services), and secondly whether I should look forward to more wrecked boxes spilling out product over my hall floor and causing a mess, should I use this service in future as you suggest in your email.
If this is standard modus operandi within the Tesco home delivery service, I'm sure you'll agree I'd be better off shopping at supermarkets in person and choosing what I buy myself rather than being palmed off with damaged stock.
Supermarkets, for example, like the large Sainsbury's and Morrisons nearby, both of which are closer to me and more convenient for my requirements than the nearest Tesco.
I look forward to your response.
Regards,
Voice of Reason
Well, we'll see how this goes, then0 -

No no no. Tell them how traumatised the cat was. Tell them how he's severly depressed.0 -

That's the problem, though - Mippy the Wondercat a silly thing and is pretty much all better now. I'm not even sure, if truth be told, if he can remember why he hisses at the Tesco ads......
If this doesn't work, though, then yes - this is what I'll do. I might trawl the internet for a suitable "sad kitteh can haz not no biskitz" picture to add to the bottom of my email, see if that helps.
