Tesco online snotty letter - thoughts

But do you know they have got it?
Did you send by email. If so keep the copy and delivery report.
Problem with Tesco deliveries, like most of the other, is that the stuff just comes off the shelf in store. It is also picked by people that are targeted by how many shops they pick each hour therefore it isn't always going to be the best but the quickest.
Sent copy and Tesco "thanks for your email" both retained; thanks
And aye, I know the delivery-pickers will be chosen for speed, etc - stands to reason - but it doesn't excuse beaten, battered goods being put on the van in the first place, and it doesn't explain why I never got a full refund for the goods charged for.0 -
I too had a bad experience with Tesco home delivery last week - I emailed them and got a response within the week as well as an apology that it took 'so long' as they're busy at the moment (I thought a week was good!), they were quick to address the issues and will apparently be investigating my local store to see what happened. They also refunded me the cost the item I had an issue with, which although not expected, was a pleasant suprise. (it wasn't just one item I had a problem with - if something could have gone wrong with the delivery, it did, and although they were all minor issues I would usually have ignored, as they ALL went wrong I wanted to find out what was going on, as they're usually very good!!)
So hats off to them, they seem to have a very good customer service department and I'm sure you'll get a satisfactorary response soon. Things do sometimes go wrong, and I guess its how they deal with it that matters. Don't expect too much in compensation though (don't want you to be disappointed!)
Oh - and your post about Mippy the Wondercat made my day! So thank you.Thank you to all the compers!0 -

If you're bothered enough to post, at least read the whole of it.

Lazy?
You get your groceries delivered and then can't be bothered to make a simple phone call....

Tell 'em in future you will be doing your shopping in the high street...or would have done if all the traders there hadn't been put out of business by the big greedy A***holes called Tesco.0

Aye, thanks - I've heard anecdotally that their CS team are pretty good, so we'll see how it goes; like you, on their own each isn't really that much, but altogether they make me wonder whether the online shop and deliver thing's all it's cracked up to be.
And really, I'm not honestly after hundreds of pounds' worth of compo - an "oops, we screwed this one, sorry pal", the money I'm owed and, like, a tin of Felix or whatever'd be fine........
Mippy says "meow", btw0 -
Just a thought did you actually phone them with these problems? In my experience whenever I phoned them with a problem it was sorted very quickly. I'll admit that was a few years ago as where I live now I can't get deliveries.
Otherwise the letter is very good.
OP wants absolution for the fact they lost the use of there legs.0
