Hi,

I have a contract with 02 which costs me 40.00 per month. I got into real mess with a phone shop and have been lumbered with a 2nd contract which is also around the 40.00 mark and I don't even USE IT!! I have been paying this contract for about 7months and I need to get rid of it as its 10.00 per week I could be saving! I think I might just phone o2 now and tell them to check there records too see that I have'nt even used it and too cancel it. What do you guys think? I'm basically paying 75.00 per month on one bloddy phone!
Currently paying car off and trying too get on the saving wagon!

My advice to you is to ring O2 and to reduce the tariff which you dont use down to the minimum monthly price. If you were just to cancel it you would have to pay them the remaining months back @ £40pm so you may as well just reduce it down to the minimum and keep the second contract. Then maybe a friend or family member could have it for the remaining months and pay you the monthly line rental?

What happened was I had an exsisting contract with o2 and my brother was looking to take a contract out but didnt have a direct debit so I went to the phone shop too set one up for him under my name and the deal I was getting was to add and additional handset onto my exsisting contract on 02 200 mins free and 100 texts for an extra 11.99 per month which would have brought my bill to 51.99 per month. But instead of the phone shop setting up an additional handset they set me up a new contract instead. I only started noticing this a while back as i didnt really open bills much.. When i contacted the phone shop he told me that there was nothing he could do about this until there was 6months of the contract up and then he could put the price back down... Really he talked his way out of this. As I'm not a strong character I just said yes! I'm so stupid. I was thinking of legal action as he did admit it was his fault and that he filled out forms wrong. I just dont know what I can do now... sorry for this being a bit long and not too well spoken.
