Help, please.
My son was on facebook last night and was typing, when it suddenly started typing by itself, then the screen tilted sideways.
When switching it on, it goes to the Windows Error Recovery screen with safe, safe mode ......network, safe mode ....... command prompt options. Is highlighted on 'start windows normally' option and counts down about 20 seconds.
Am unable to move to safe mode etc. at this point and when it gets to the main desktop screen with all the usual icons, the screen is sideways and no keys seem to work, and unable to move the pointer.
Presume this is probably a virus.
Have tried pressing F8 repeatedly when first switching it on but this has no effect and if I try doing it on the Windows Error Recovery screen, it just makes the screen 'blink'.
Am currently at the library on a one hour free thingy. Is anyone available to give me any suggestions as to what to do PLEASE. I will print off any suggestions whilst here, to try at home.
Thanks
P.S. Actually did a full scan with malwarebytes last week (after updating it first), which came back okay.

"I've tried it with just the power from the battery but it was the same. Haven't tried removing the battery yet. Where is it? Is it easy to remove?
How did it work with no power and battery? Was there still enough power left in it for it to work? May give that a try."

"Cannot get to safe mode as pointer won't work at all, neither will pressing F8 repeatedly."

i done this to drain all power from lappy and then plugged it back in ! pointer drivers reloaded doing this0 -
Junior: Will check with my son about the sites recently used.
The icons displayed are what are usually on the main screen, eg. IE, recycle bin, apps, etc .
It's an HP G70 laptop.0
