Changing wheels

Well just went out and tested the wheel nuts as you all suggested and a couple of them needed tightening. Cheers for the tip! Could have been nasty with a wheel nut flying off on the motorway. Could have been worse with my wheel flying off! This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0

Those new wheels will take longer to clean, it looks nice though!0

Thanks very much
Yes I know, they will take ages to clean
Got the clay bar out on the car today so she's looking nice and sparkling. Was blooming cold outside though!

Did you check if the tyres are "Directional tyres" and if they are do you have them all going the right way?
They will be clearly marked with an arrow if they are directional.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -

Yes all four are directional and I made sure they were all on the right way. All 4 tyres were wrapped seperately. I jacked the car up on the front left. Unwrapped the first tyre and it wasn't it. Same for the second. Same for the third :rotfl: Always the way isn't it!This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -
Looks a good improvement, one I'm thinking about too.
Out of interest, how much extra did the insurance sting you for changing the wheels?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Well, I first rang up and asked them about it before buying the alloys, and they said it would cost £20 extra per year and a £25 admin charge.
However, I rang up again when I had done it to tell them it had been done, and as they are Genuine BMW alloys that were an option on the car when it was new, it didn't cost any more money. They just changed their database for free.
Was happy as larry :jThis is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0
