Hi elizabunny, For the last few weeks I have cut dishwash tablets into 2 and used half for each wash and the results were brilliant and when they ran out I bought really cheap bio washing powder and have used that since and brilliant results again. I won't be buying dishwash tablets again. Give it a go!! Good luck

Thanks so much for the tip savvyshe I really do think Dishwasher Tablets are overpriced, but I would hate to be without the dishwasher, so I'll give it a go:T

HM Curried Bean Soup tonight with HM Bread and then a naughty Egg, Bacon ands Chips...oh well, it was very nice. NSD today...just as well:D

  • Hi folks, I have been bad this month, but declaring on £100 for FEB. Not very happy, needed a lot of stock items this month. However, need to get back into the frugal living and planning a month of meals, so I can budget properly again, been slipping of late.

  • Morning everyone - just logged on to update my total, thought I'd finished for the Month but DD2 came home with a list of ingredients she needed for Food Tech so had to pop to the shops yesterday. We also needed more fruit. Should be a NSD today and then I will declare tomorrow.;)

Going to make some nice Leek & Potato soup today, feel like we need more soup as this weather is just so depressing - where is Spring, Winter just seems to have been so long this year!

Good luck to everyone still to declare, we're nearly there!:D

  • Hello I am new to the thread, Id love to join from March but need to calculate a realistic amount for food for me and O/H and our fur family. I will post an amount ASAP.

I'd appreciate any ideas what a family of 8 should be spending? 2 humans, 1 cat and 5 bunnies ;)

Hello! Maybe... £180? £200 to start with? I don't know how much bunnies cost to feed, but I'm allocating £150 to you and OH and £30 for the pets! (I try to spend £120 on myself and 2 cats, but want to get this down to £100.)

£39.56 for me for my last week in Feb, so I've come in under budget this month by the grand total of £6.05! As we had half term and the incredible eating children included in that for one week, I'm quite pleased.

Declaring my Feb total spent as £153.95
