Whoop Whoop! NSD yesterday, I'm so proud of myself, lol! But then again, my better half did go and buy a bottle of pop and a paper....but that came out of his student loan so I'm not counting that!
Guys, do you include take aways in the grocery challenge or do you count it as a treat? xxEvery act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

I count the weekly takeaways
Lol, I think that means we'll be having 1 takeaway a month then!
Probably not a bad thing! :j Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

I dont count the weekly takeaways as OH buys, everything else comes out of grocery budget, ie dog/cat food, cleaning stuff, toiletries oh, and grub! Our GC budget covers packed breakfasts and lunches for OH to take to work and packed lunches for me.
I love my weekly takeaway -cos I save in other ways I really enjoy it - life IS for living after all!

£5 spend last night in Tesco. £1.42 of that was replacing DH's posh yogurts that I ate yesterday when I was stressed! Did get 6 activia yogurts for 10p each and BOGOF. Also loaf of bread for 28p and 2 pints skim milk 22p.
Rather upset that the brioche I got for 34p turned out to be mouldy, especially as I didn't realise until this morning and I ate one last night (knew it tasted funny!)
Still got £7 left, will only need bread and milk before Sunday hopefully.
I had ordered the free £5 from MilkandMore but this morning the van went past without delivering to me so so much for free bacon!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Can I join in March please. I joined back in 2008 did it for about year and half but then thought I can do this on my own. How wrong was I it's so easy to slip in to old habbits and I dread to think how much I spend on food etc.
I was down to £150 a month for my, DH, DD3year, DD 18months but I thing I'll start at £200 please MRS M.
Right off to make a list of food that I have already got, freezer is full so I shouldn't really need much except F&V and bread.GC July £250/0 -

Have you thought to water it down, not quite like squash but not at full strength either? Apart from the cost & calories, it's also not good for your teeth....drinking a huge amount of fruit juice....the calorific content of the juice and the cost ....
I particularly like using the ultra cheap sparkling water to go perhaps 50:50 with citrus types & perhaps 60:40 in favour of apple juice.
My apologies for the bad weather folks--No3 had a prescription & we decided to get it from MrT as it was on the way home. No3 bought stuff; I was tempted but..walked out without spending a bean  So no, it wasn't an earthquake at 11:30 yesterday morning; it was the shareholders of supermarkets all around the country hitting the floor in a dead faint & utter disbelief :rotfl:Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Today is the start of my new month. I am sorry to admit that last month I was over by £107.
For March I would like to aim at £10 per week per adult.
So I will try for £240 again in March, thank you!
I may have to change the amount during the month if things change again.
