:T Just wondered when we have to say what were aiming to spend in March? If everyone's doing it this week could you guys put me down for £240 for the month? Ps. my march starts on friday....woohoo! :rotfl:Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Well i need to update my sig again
i went off the rails yesterday and spent £16.01 and i was over budget before that
In all fairness an awful lot was on birdfood which will probably last until next winter and some bits for the freezer for recipes i intend to cook next month but i`ve spent it now in February so it will be added to this months total. I will have saved in petrol going to the same shopping centre again so i`m not really going to worry about it.
Off to sort out the siggy

Well, I've finally done it!
A NSD today, and also the last day of my February. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that my actual spend is less than my budget!!!!
:TTHIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN OVER A YEAR I'VE MANAGED TO DO THIS!;)
Can you tell i'm a bit chuffed with myself?!
The way I've been able to do it, is that I've had my bf to stay a bit more, which means that i've been using things from the cupboard and not going out to the supermarket for the odd thing and ending up with £30 worth of cr*p.
I've also been able to exceed my NSD target by doing it this way, so that's another bonus for me.
My March is going to be a shorter month thanks to Feb being shorter, so I am going to have a lower target, and see if i can make it. I would be v impressed with myself if i could do it twice in a row!!
Thanks to everyone for all your support. It's people like YOU that keep me going, and give me inspiration.
Have a great evening, hope you make your feb gc target.

Hooray!!! managed my 1st NSD today.
Have changed my March Grocery Challenge to £110, I think it's a bit more realistic than £60 for me.0 -
Been to see my DD at Uni today, and as it's her birthday tomorrow I bought her a 'big shop' as her gift. I don't normally shop at Mr M as it's a bit too far away from where I live, so it was interesting to compare price and quality with my usual Mr T.
I got 2 large jars of decent coffee for £6.50 and 2 loaves of sliced white for £1. I thought the meat looked good, and decided to try a belly of pork (will put in SC), and also lamb shoulder, and a lamb shank. All these were under £4 each but will last us for more than one meal I should think. Stocked up freezer!
Because we were really shopping for the Student rather than me and OH, I resisted a lot of other treats and goodies, so pleased I had control!!0 -
I'm at the end of my february and on Friday will start March-roll on! I've overspent this month by £21.98 but in my defense, I have stocked up on various non-perishables which will last me at least next month.
Mrs Mc PLEASE PUT ME DOWN FOR £371.98 SPEND FOR FEB AND £350 FOR MARCH, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.LBM 17th April 2007:j

DEBT FREE AND STILL TRYING HARD0 -
Have spent €184.60 this month....€34.60 over budget!! That did include a shop in Chinese supermarket....blame DDIL, she suggested it, but I spent €62.40...in my defence I got a gallon of vinegar for €2.99, 5 kg rice for €6 and lots of things that will last much longer than the end of February.
So Mrs MC, AM DECLARING AT €184.60 FOR FEBRUARY.
WILL TRY €150 AGAIN FOR MARCH.
Good luck to all

Hey folks!
Well, I was suckered into Asda by the £2 chickens, and as we have a new freezer, I couldn't resist some of the frozen deals...
£25 Spent. Can I increase March's budget to £120 please? I spent that much this month, and that was with the help of lots of vouchers, £5 free milknmore offer and lots of whoopsies. Without those, it would have been a lot more...
Thanks peeps!

Could i please join for march!
I don't really know how much we spend a month. However we both checked our bank statements from supermarket shops and totalled £300 but that included fuel but not anything bought with cash. So i am reckoning we spend about £260 +
So my aim for march is to be £230 or under and see how we do.
This is for a family of 4.
Many thanksOrange Fairy
