Hi There
Declaring Feb total as £2.43 over budget - namely because OH did some of the shopping and we are now overstocked in the storecupboard again.
Freezer is also groaning. No sign of the March GC as yet - but going to try again! to get within budget - trouble is, i know that we could survive for 3 months on the contents of the freezer, but OH cant resist a treat when shopping, baby steps here i know.

I bought some milk and eggs yesterday, as DD's birthday tom so needed to make a cake. Very impressed with the final version - cinderella and ariel, looked amazing if i say so myself!! Anyway, spent a whole £2.76, so added to sig. NSD today, so working towards my total. I reckon the next 3 days are going to be NSDs as I have the children tomorrow, and it's parents evenings the next 2 nights. YUK!
Have a good night all,

Declaring £221.73 for Feb, so a whopping £41.73 over.
Setting March Challenge for £180 please.
Went out for a snack lunch today as we fancied it, and also i bought this weeks groceries this afternoon as I fancied a rubber chicken week, so roast had for tea and stock now made ready for the rissotto tomorrow, nom nom nom., then curry tues and maybe meat mash and veg and gravy thursday. I like the taste better when it's been refridgerated rather than when it is frozen after roasting.
Got my taste back for lidl own brand diet cola (all i had in!), so i have resisted and not bought the bottles at 3 times the price which sometimes do tempt me.

I posted it on the slow cooker thread yesterday. Used the pork fillet that is on offer in Morrissons at the moment. It was £3.20 for enough for 5 portions with loads of added veg.
Sorry to be awkward, but I can't find the recipe for the Chinese style pork anywhere and it sounds yummy. Could someone please post a link?Debt £26k 18/10/140 -
Have definitely overspent this month, but not 100% sure by how much, so big fat fail for this month, please put me down for £130 for March as well, already spent £35 so far!Debt free 11/05/11!
Savings £4000/ £3000 -
Can I join please?
I managed by my self last month by following this thread, but as we have lost a full time wage due to illness for at least six months while OH has treatment, I think I might some help and moral support that I know you offer on this board.
I would like to manage on £200 but think it might be a bit unrealistic so would be happy if it comes in at £225, to feed four adults. We have had to make some fairly drastic cuts to our food budget, although I make everything from scratch it has been quite hard. But you guys have given me so much advice and help that I'm sure I will manage.
