My mates partner was born severly disabled but still manages to work. On the other hand there are many with bad backs that walk about the town here perfectly ably and could of course work but they prefer not to.
To assume all on benefits are cheats is of course incorrect, but at the same time we have to be grown up enough to open our eyes to the considerable degree of abuse that goes on.
I have a client that has sold her state granted mobility car in order to raise some cash towards the deposit on a flat she wants to buy! This is just plain immoral yet she considers it her birth right.0 -

You are unfortunately not going to win on here trying to get advise/opinions from others as to what to do/best way to help you etc as there are people on this forum who have nothing better to do than spends hours nit picking over every word you write and tell you its your fault for borrowing the money in the first place ..... i thought this was a forum to come to, to get help and advise/opinions from other people, whether that be in the same situation or people who genuinely take there time to guide you in the best way they can, after all we are not all experts and perfect, if we were there would be no need for such a forum .... instead of critistism ..... that is of course only my opinion
It was the OP that went off topic by intoducing stuff not relevent to their own situation. stick to your own fact and so will the people replying.
The advise has been fairly clear,
NR are not the problem
Stop getting more debt.
Do a SOA on debtfreewanabe, get comments on it, then make a plan.
OP stick to your problems, dont mix in rants about other people and the system.0 -

If people don't like hearing what other people have to say pointless posting on forums! In life if you don't want feedback don't invite it. You can't cherry pick people who are going to agree with you.
Why shouldn't we discuss irresponsible borrowing?....we discuss irresponsible lending...0 -

as you're rasing the subject of morality, knowing her source of deposit...I am surprised you have accepted this lady as your client0 -

I did'nt know until after completion in fact.
I'll guarantee you are selfish / immoral in your own way, but you might not recognise it in yourself.
As a bit of an oblique example, but one intended to get you thinking; My sisterinlaws dad is a moralising preacher type and would consider himself of high virtue and sound moral fabric, yet he fails to spot his many faults.
He is mean spirited to her child - he see's it as good old fashioned discipline of course.
He indicates right at rbouts when he's actually taking the second exit - in other words going straight ahead. This is thoughtless to other drivers that of course think he is actualy going right.
He was very careful to ensure he got a bigger slice of an inheritance than his sister. His parents chose to leave him the bulk, but if that was me I would have shared it equally with my siblings.
Typically he will do things like chose not to reverse in a small lane when confronted with a car wanting to get by. He will rarely back down - nasty mean spirited old git!
I wonder whether you mind filter your own immoral behaviour in the manner this old buzzard does.
Perhaps you're not quite as moraly superior as you portray here:A0 -

Thanks for the spell check Oh great one, I am humbled by the (or is it thy?)
Anway I'm off home to run around with the kids now, and in so doing give society something genuinly valuable.
I'll leave you to tut and tsk tsk on here. I bet you have a red face and love waving your fist at drivers - I can just imagine you now:rotfl:0 -
Alot of rubbish to sort through OP but some good stuff in there.
My advice would be to split your rants about society (NR being the devil, scroungers etc) and your personal circumstances. It can make you look a bit silly.
Your rants first :-
Completely agree, even the disability thing. (Of course not genuine cases or even border line cases, just people on the make. Sorry to burst anyones bubble, but just because they know of a genuine case, that doesn't mean there is isn't a huge abuse of this otherwise worthwhile payment.
Your situation second :-
Snowballing is your future my friend.
£200 per month debt repayment now, £600 in the Autumn, then more and more as you debts disapear.
Take a trip to the debt-free wannabe board and you'll realise what a fantastic position you are in.
It's a long and winding road my friend but you're ALMOST ready for the first step.
GOOD LUCK0
