Is it just me or is the site just too busy ??!!

Options
Whilst I love the site's aims and ambitions I have to say that I find it just too busy and very difficult to read.

The forums have just too much info and the fonts are too small !!

Where I am typing this all you need to do is look above and it is all too frantic ! Not that user friendly and certainly not appealing on the eye.
Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.

    Very true!
  • Bit confused as to what you want.

When you say busy do you mean too many icons, links, options etc?
Or do you mean people post too much?

If it's the first one then I largely agree, although they are trying to streamline slightly.

I don't agree about the fonts though- ctrl and + should sort you out. ;)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

Far too many click-throughs. It's OK if you frequent one or two specific forums and have them bookmarked, but for everyone else it's overwhelming the number of different sub-options to wade through to get where you want. I can't think of a more disorganised forum.

I love MSE but have never been a fan of the layout and know a couple of people who have told me they can't be bothered wading through:eek:!
I don't know if the layout could become more streamlined. I joined 4 years ago but it still took a frantic search to find a thread about newspaper offers recently.
I have my text size set to larger because...I hate wearing my glasses. I always open links in a different window as MSE is very helpful but some threads/articles have so much information that i'd end up clicking through to 10 plus sites.

I think it's ok but I've been here a long time and I know pretty much where everything is now.

I often find people will ask me to seek out information on here for them (people in RL that is) because they just can't cope with the volume of information on here.

As a regular user though it's great as there is always something new to read and someone who can answer questions.

I hate sites where you log in after two days away and little has changed but maybe that's just me.

I tend to learn something new every day on here. :D
