can i transfer ownership of my contract?
me and my ex split up 4 months ago, however at the time i took 2 o2 contracts out for the both of us. now were no longer together i want her to get her phone in her name.
i rang and asked this but they said no it cannot be done, the only thing i could do was change the direct debit to her bank account. this does not solve the fact that its still in my name. what can i do people?

Not all networks allow an account transfer.
I know Orange do (not much help I know, sorry). But if they don't allow it there not much more you can do. . .0 -

If your contract is with O2 CPW then yes you are able to do a transfer of ownership, if the contracts are with O2 direct then unfortunately there is not much that you can do as O2 direct do not allow change of ownership.0

You can't change ownership on a personal O2 contract. They only allow you to transfer a contract to a business account (which is what the form Abarkie has, is for).0

As above, depends on your network provider. 02 personal accounts cannot be transferred, i seen that on this forum several times already.
Best you can do with 02 is change the billing address, and change the direct debit to her bank account. The name on the account has to stay the same.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

I am with O2. I took out a mobile contract 4 years ago but they would not allow me to do so without a guarantor. So I got my mum's friend, who was available that day, to do it for me. Now the money comes from my account, always has done. And I've never missed a payment. I want to get the name changed to mine as everytime I try to do anything, like get an upgrade on my phone, they tell me I can't as it is not my name therefore not my phone.
Are you saying I cannot possibly change the name to my own?0
