Port a number from 3 PAYG to O2

Hello folks,

I recently received a 3 PAYG sim through the post (not requested at all) and the number on it is quite good (if mobile numbers can be good!) so I'd like to port it to my O2 contract.

I've checked online and with O2 and know there's no problem porting from PAYG to monthly - even though I've already ported once on this contract.

What I would like to know, though, is whether or not I have to register the 3 sim card in order to get the PAC for it? I'd rather not as I've never really liked 3 but if I had to then I would.

Does anybody have any experience of this?

Many thanks in advance,

Richard
