TBH I have stopped buying M&S school trousers for my daughter. I bought them, paying a bit extra cos they were 'M&S trousers' to find that they developed bobbles very quickly and wore through at the hems within weeks. You expect them to be hard wearing as they are sold as 'school' trousers.
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

So to clarify your childs trousers are too long and are being dragged along the ground leading to increased wear and you think this is a design fault!

No take the hems up so they dont drag

    Truly unbelievable.

I must admit I have always loved M&S school clothes as they last and last on my kids (boys and girls)? If they haven't been worn too long then I would send them off but I can't see how they would fray/become holey without them being walked on by being too long?
Wife to a great husband and mum to 4 fantastic kids 9,8,4,3 they drive me mad but I would do anything and give everything for my family :grinheart

The same thing has happened to my lads trousers, its not because they are not too long either.

He is now at secondary school, and he walks, after 4 days of walking to and from school they frayed on the inside edges, ie on the inside of the ankles where his shoes must have rubbed together when he walked.

I didnt take them back as I guess in a way it is 'wear and tear' but really the material used should be thicker and stronger to do the job.

Perhaps manufacturers are sourcing thinner fabric with a cheaper mix of material thats not so tough? (probably to try to undercut competitors for the 'back to school' rush)

Its kind of like chocolate bars keeping their prices down by making slightly smaller bars?

Words I really don't expect to see very often on MSE! But he is however correct on this occasion! :rotfl:
