                    When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Good morning people:T:T
Hooray...tis nearly the weekend...not that it makes much difference to me, I'm here all day right now anyway and my girls are with their dad this weekend so will be on my own:o But it does mean a lie in...!
Hope all well today - hugs to anyone who feels poorly...what a bunch we are;)
Anyway, here's my small list:
Feeling better than yesterday - thank you to those who asked:p I stayed in bed til 2 yesterday, absolutely wiped out...boooo, fed up:o
Have a lovely day!!!

            Morning all
Sorry to hear those snuffling or ill - MC I don't know why these days but they seem keen NOT to take out tonsils - I suffered til I was 23 and then had mine out - it changed my life, I've hardly been ill since.
My DS has his out too - some folks who are predisposed to tonsil issues often have big tonsils - ? Anyway the op itself isnt nice, but its worth a few days of discomfort for the joy of not being ill so much. (Just my opinion though)
Milly hope a quiet weekend works OK for you......
LSD today - just got papers as am looking for a house
Must check banks
PAD to something - I've got out of the habit
STOP food shopping - I'm already over budget this month and spent alot last night - the freezer is full etc - Its getting a bit silly.
Feed chookies
Work in field for free exercise and doggie will come
Think about another yoga class tonight and enquire about which way is cheaper - was too rushed last time!
Post lovefilm dvd back
Look at working one day over the weekend or if the weather is OK then two
Do lots work today
Store cupboard/Freezer tea and lunch
Look into crocheting as fancy doing a posh blanket for darwin
Ring garage about brakes for car they don't sound great
Fill up soap hand dispensers with bubble bath (its 20% off a humungous bottle from the co-op at the mo)
Make a shopping list for heading south next week - we def need dishwasher tablets and a few other dried things I might sneak home in a suitcase!
Put a basket out and think what I can fill it whist also thinking 'ebay'
Hope you're all good today

            Morning Everyone.
Hope everyone soon gets over their snuffles and general poorliness.
We went through the generally not well thing with my dd in her teens. Glands would be up for a few days she would sleep for a couple of days and then feel better. She had tests etc and hers was put down to her immune system developing or words to that effect. They did just say she would grow out of it and she has:T Hope your dd soon feels better Mogchops.
I bought a crochet hook and some wool on Tuesday; you must have read my mind Fay, don't know what I am going to make yet. I need to see if I can remember how to crochet yet.
Well Today I have/will
Check online banking and move money around
Pop up to allotment, for coffee with sil
Drop paperwork off to client
Finish my companies house stuff.
Take ds to guitar lessons along with the two guitars that need minor repairs; not carelessness just wear and tear.
Log on last bits for client tonight (last one for this year:j)
House starting to look like a giant dust bunny, but I have told dh that the dust bunnies are taking over the world. (Well they are in our house until the 1 Feb, when I will have everything workwise up to date)
I have washing hanging on line and another lot in
I have hokey cokied dishwasher and put it on. (So we do have clean clothes and plates etc, don't think he should complain do you:rotfl:)
Well I am off to make coffee and put rubbish in recycler, well acceptable rubbish if you know what I mean. Not messy rubbish.
Have a good day everyoneMy finances are work in progress.Normal veiwing will resume shortly0 -
            Morning all
Get well soon Triangle (can't get used to calling you that!) and glad you are feeling a bit better Milly
I'm another one that suffered with tonsilitis constantly when I was younger. Like Fay, I had mine out in my early 20's. So glad I did. Tonsilitis is horrible and anyone that gets it has my sympathies.
Stuck indoors with poorly piglet again. I'm going rather stir crazy here. So todays list is:
* Checked on-line banking...in credit the day before payday..woo hoo!:T
* Make some Twinks hob-nobs for Brother and SIL
* Make some little cakes
* Heating on low
* Done one load of handwashing
* Try and get ebaying done
* Go to work
* Charge mobile at work
Thats about it so far!:o

            Woo hoo
My credit score has gone up again this month (only a little bit) although I'm still in POOR and I'm still NOT on the electoral roll at the house I'm in even though I know I've done all the paperwork....grrr
Must find out how to raise it some more, I've started to pay off my CC bills in full each month and use them for shopping food stuffs etc to make sure I use them and pay them off.
Waves to Miss P
 sorry to hear about piglet

            Morning all, get well soon Triangle.:D
I used to, in my tweens and teens get ill ALL the time, if anything was going around I would catch it, like literally, Ive had Measals, Meningitus (Type b or the mostly non threatening one) glandular fever, tonsilitus about 5 times. I think its something to do with the growing female body as most of my friends had similar problems. Saying that now Im a pescitarian I never get ill.
Things for today,
Was hoping my pay would hit my bank early, argh, its been forever, 6 weeks since I got paid. The company I work for originally wasnt gonna change the date to before Christmas and I was very happy with that as I work to a tight budget but this month because of the long month, making an extra big payment to savings, buying a car and putting down a holding deposit on a flat I'm exactly £100 overdrawn, argh.
Still plus side is I have an arranged OD and paid tomorrow so no biggie:D.
This means Im gonna have a NSD today, I was gonna pop out to the shops as I wanted to do some baking (OH requested something with strawberries so I thought...Victoria sponge?) but I think I will wait till tomorrow instead when its officially payday.
Gonna set up my joint internet banking and already checked my bank account today.
Chasing people for payments via ebay.
Listing some more things tonight (I know its not a sunday, which is meant to be prime ebay time but I really wanna get rid of this junk before I move).
Lunch for oh is leftovers from yesterday. I might have some of the massive wedge of stilton I got for 19p at tescos!
Dinner is roast veg curry (already roasted veg), rice and salmon that has been defrosting in fridge over night.
Hope everyone has a great MSE day:rotfl:Aim - BUYING A HOUSE :eek: by November 2013!Saved = 100% on 03/07/12 :j0 -
            good morning all.
Pay day today so def not a NSD.
- took out saved money for car tax and paid that at post office
- bought some petrol (gone over budget on that this month too
 )
- granted 2 day extention for my OU TMA as laptop playing up and need to use DD's
- booked place on OU tutorial for other course (the one I was going to quit but have decided to keep on with)
- bought month supply gas and electric (£120!!!!)
- booked car into garage and asked for tomorrow half day off
- will double check all online banking to make sure all as it should be
- score off the debts paid today on my spreadsheets and take a note so can update my sig tomorrow. I do get excited when it comes down. Mortgage arrears under £2500 for first time in a year

Not much else, sad to report I also forgot my packed lunch so will have to head to greggs.DFW 228 LONG H 68
