Samsung unlocking - is this ok?

I purchased a Samsung unlock code on ebay for a princely 99p to use on my E250 - the phone is (was?) currently on T-Mobile PAYG and I want to go to Virgin.
I went through all the instructions and it seemed to work ok with the Virgin sim card, the phone is listing the new sim phone number as it's number, it sends and receives calls ok and sends and receives texts ok so everything seems fine.
The phone would not accept the last part of the instructions to make the unlock permanent but everything does work ok with the new sim card installed - the only thing is when I switch it off and back on again for a second or two it still says T-Mobile and then changes to Virgin - is this likely to be a problem?
It was on pay-as-you-go with T-Mobile so even if it is still connected somehow it won't be charging me.

I cant speak for your phone but when i had mine unlocked (n95) so i could change from 3 upon initial start up it would still flash the three logo up i think it is embedded in the phone and cant be changed but i never got charged. once on it would then revert to orange. :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

To get rid of the T Mobile logo you would have to re-flash the phone's firmware, it won't do any harm as it is and as long as you're using a virgin sim it can't connect to the T Mobile network.;)0

I hope you didnt pay much for the unlock code, I have the same phone and unlocked it myself. It still flashes up t mobile first but have been using tesco sim card fine. You can get the settings for virgins web connections online.
Edit: 99p wont break the bank!:starmod:Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1189:starmod:0
