:rotfl: Thank you
I've got nothing done today. I felt so rubbish, and I still feel sensitive, so there's just nothing. OH is going home on his own this weekend which will be a bit weird, so I'm hoping I'm all sorted by then.
Still haven't found somewhere in Spain...didn't think it would be this hard, to be honest. All the nice places seem to be 3,500E a month! OH found some shared rooms he liked and enquired but no response yet, and we found a few 500E a month flats but with no kitchens :SSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
Benefits = Has anyone read the That's Life magazine this week ? Article on pages 3+4 was a woman boasting bout all the benefits she gets as a single mum of 3 kids and saying how her kids have the latest xbox, mobiles n laptops and how she is proud of the fact that she gets £252 to live off after her bills have been paid for her
Angry is not the word ....... to top it off .... she lives in the same town as me
Edit - I would suggest buying it to read but pretty sure new one is out tomoro
In a previous life, I was a benefits officer!!!!!! Dont hold it against me - I was young and it WAS the eighties.
I came across these people often. Scr*wing the system daily, it seemed they had the life of riley. Esp to me, I was a poorly paid minion in this job.
However, their children are their just rewards. Poor role models, little regard for education - no work ethic. Jeremy Kyle fishes this pond for his shows. Entertaining at times, but I wouldn't want to live there.1373/100000 -
hi all sitting here wondering if i will be able to get up at 5.30 to make it to kinross boot sale saturday plan to pack car night before, trivial really when you consider some of the juggling and decisions you lot are managing to do .i am hoping if its a success to go every fortnight as we will have to clear the house for moving . feel a bit guilty as really could start doing regular sat/sun at local hosp and earn good money but i actually enjoy the boot sales so might opt for 1 boot a month and one extra shift a month. So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0

Watching Sevilla play footie now. I even greeted OH's Mexican friends in Spanish earlier. Obsessed? :rotfl:
Obsessed?..Just practising :rotfl:
I think the reason i think how i do is because my mum (i'm currently living at home) gives me all this carp about how i do nothing and how she works all day (5 hours a day, term time only) so shouldn't have to do anything, she'll come home and sit on Facebook for hours then sit and watch tv after doing dinner. She moans if my brother (12) asks for anything when she's 'busy' but won't teach him how to do anything himself. I swear, it's like having 4 kids sometimes living here! Last week she had a massive rant about how awful a mother i was giving my son chips 2 days running; we very rarely have chips and there's very rarely a dinnertime without at least one vegetable. As much as i remember from my childhood I had undercooked sausage rolls almost everyday. Without wanting to sound like a 'blame the parents' cliche, i can't help but think she's the cause of most of my issues (and generally a b*tch.)
And I swear she's turning my little boy evil, whenever he's in a bad mood when he's tired he sounds exactly like her!
So if I ever seem all excited and slightly obsessed with my flat-house-that-isn't-quite-mine-yet it's actually pretty understandable
Wow, ranting really helps but now i'm all motivated just before bed :rotfl:0 -

However bad my life could get, I would NEVER go on Jeremy Kyle :rotfl:0 -

Sounds like a plan, I like the 'instant' cash reward thing about bootys. Your junk is gone and the money's there, just like thatNot that i've ever actually done one :rotfl:
I've changed my mind a little bit about the keyrings btw, can we change one of them to 'Hazel'
For my friends little girl, not me
Oooh, smiley overload!0 -
Ahhh all is clear, I thought you were feeling low because of someone else's opinion of you, it's never easy living with your mother! I probably missed the whole lat-house-that-isn't-quite-yours thing amongst all the posting, have you got something in the offing? You are working hard in a totally different way, I know it's not easy to ignore, but please don't let it get to you, you know that what you're doing is going to make for a brighter future! And rant away all you like if you go away motivated!!!

After being on the council list (now i really am starting to sound like a sponger :rotfl:) for 3 years I was 'provisionally' offered somewhere in December but having to wait for someone to move out first etc. I must have rang about 8 different numbers to try and get some more information, timescale etc but all I get is 'someone will ring you when it's sorted and the keys are ready, ring this number if you need anymore info...' and it just goes round in a big circle. I don't have a clue what's going on, I do however have saucepans, plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses, tea towels, bath towels, bath mats, toothbrush holder etc, bread bin, tin opener, melon baller.. you know, the essentialsand heaps more, bought in the sales, over the past 3 years, so actually very MSE. I did know what colour schemes i wanted too, but now i've seen this gorgeous wallpaper I want
Yes, I know i'm a little bit crazy, I just like to organise, and shop... mainly shop0 -
