Also it never hurts, especially now to advertise that the service or product is made in the UK. In some cases it really does make a difference and stress quick delivery/lead times. Pricing your items can be tricky in my humble opinion but dont sell yourself short, price what they are worth as it is not just the price of the material that goes into them it is also the price of your time that goes into designing and making them. People do want a bargain, but I think generally people are always willing to pay for quality......I guess I go by you get what you pay for

some parts of the london gumtree you have to pay a nominal fee, but there are ways to ummm get around it by using a bit of creativity without breaking the rules but basically changing wording a bit. This was for a service however, so selling a product might be diff, not sure.

  • ah Saucysecrets, not a nice thing to deal with! *hugs*

Right, Im now in the process (yes already!!! lol) of setting up a website so that I can get some cards and flyers printed out. Also I have started to compile a list of all airsoft and paintball sites (thinking i could do bmx helmets too? same sort of design) in south wales and south west england and I shall contact them all to see if they will display my leaflets/put out cards for me. Ill get some designs done and do a few example masks, then photograph them. Once thats done and the site goes live I shall send the leaflets and cards off, post it on the forums too, and put a few listings on ebay. Im thinking, so I dont have dead time, I should probably offer 'off the peg' designs and then offer quotes for custom work. That way I can hopefully build up steady sales for off the pegs, that after practise wont take long to do, and rake it in on custom jobs!
