Nixinix - Don't want to swamp you with ideas, but my mind is racing now and I might as well share it - something might strike you as workable!

I recently went on a giftbag making course. Before the course the lady sent me an email with 3 choices of the sort of thing I would like to make, which was great cus I was looking at them thinking,"no way can I make that!" A few hours later I was at home with the same bags on my table and I HAD made them!! I was so proud of myself.

I was thinking that you could have a leaflet, or better still a one page website, with choice of a scenery shot, person/pet shot or the moon (lol) with an example or two of the sort of thing you have taken in the past. If I was looking at something you had taken and you were telling me that I could learn to take a similar quality photo with my own camera, it would really sell it to me. You could then offer follow on courses to learn the more indepth stuff, whatever that would be. You were talking about aperture and shutter speed - that could be level 2 or whatever.

Hope that helps. Tell me to shut up when I get boring :D I'm not easily offended.

No def. not boring lol! And all helping, I love it! :j

Do you think photoshop skills are something anyone would be interested in to? I am not uptodate with the latest software but love manipulating and repairing photos....so wonder if that could be an additional offering...... (I also used to do digital photo restoration, but it wasn't viable)

Yes, definitely give me a shout if you're in the area.

I met someone on a flight recently who takes photos in his spare time and is registered with Getty Images. He uploads his photos to their website and he gets commission if someone buys them. I'm getting motivated now to do more with my camera and make the most of the opportunities I have.

    Loving the dribbling!!!!!

I have thought if I had a decent camera that I would be doing this now! Long story as to why I sold everything......one of those things that was right at the time but regret now!!

Most definitely - i've been looking for courses in my area but can't find them tailored to my specific needs. If it was on a one-to-one basis, i'd be biting your hand off - so to speak!
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.

Just done my first ever tax return :D:eek::D. Been stressing about it so much but it's done now *does a happy dance*

Antibiotics kicking in now so feeling a bit better:) I really want to start February full blast.

Love the commitment board , the only thing i'm gonna commit to doing is the physco board. I have so many ideas going round my head at the moment , I need to reign them in and set up a plan, when I feel bettr I'll push harder

Looking for a bit of advice please , maybe from Amber, I want to set up a website but it involves adult content can I just set up a regular site or do I need to use a particular host . I'm such a technophobe. I don't want to set something up and have it pulled for adult content:o

Definitely! That's another thing I don't take full advantage of. Paid for Photoshop 7 (I think) and don't use it. I find the books show photos that don't relate to what I want to do so again, the 1-2-1 tutorial would be useful.

Ha, have visions of us in Scotland later this year drinking coffee (or whatever else the locals are having!!!) comparing cameras and swapping tips on our 2010 adventure
