My January total is £334.57. This is from buy to sell on ebay, selling for others, cleaning and babysitting and DooYoo. I'm not counting savings made on bills etc - don't think they shoud count!May I please enquire what sorts of things people get to sell on ebay and where from ? I am always trying to do this but usually fail to make money
Thanks

Hi, I wasn't going to join this challange but without really trying January ended up being a lucrative month!
I received £1600 payback from work and a payrise, the result of a year long battle!!
I've got rid of loads of old CDs to Music Magie for £80
Sold 3 items on Amazon - around £20 profit
Two validations on Quidco, house and car insurance - £130 total
I've been given loads of card making stuff from someone at work who was having a declutter. I'm also collecting scraps of things from around the house for my card making.. like packaging, ribbons, buttons etc. I want to make my cards without buying anything! So my challange is NOT to buy any greetings cards this year!! Should save me a small fortune. I've also made a snake draught excluder for the front door. He's called Peter. Might save a few pennies on the heating bill!!
OH has loads of clothes to get rid of. Some items are decent and I'm wondering whether I dare open an ebay account and sell them! I'm scared of Ebay. It sounds so complicated! He want to take them to the charity shop.
I have a massive Outwell tent to sell, its just too big for me and the OH! God knows why we bought it.... it didn't look that big in the field next to all the other display tents!!! I can't even pick it up on my own and it fills my car!! It even has a carpet in the living area... what were we thinking!! :rotfl: Should make me a couple of hundred quid.£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -
I know I'm late to the party, but can I join? Also had a lucrative January by simply getting my act together when work dried up through snow.
I'm still doing:
A dual pronged CD declutter on Amazon (for the good stuff) and Music Magpie (for the slurry)
Getting rid of books on Fatbrain, Green Metropolis, etc.
Cleaning up the laptop graveyard to try out a laptop recycling company I Googled (I can't post the link as I'm still officially a noob, but Google the obvious and you'll find it)
And being more organised, I've got time to craft, which I haven't had for years, so Etsy here I come...
And I finally got my act together and started teaching singing. I'm counting this as extra money, as it's all on top of what I was earning previously.
Does anyone else find that they're really full of energy and enthusiastic about this? Love it

Can anyone point me in the right direction for help with business plans? I have googled but so many have come up with different content I don't quite know where to start. How long should it be? I'm not looking for start up loans but may apply for a very small grant from the council if I have to buy anything.
I'm setting up a market stall selling second hand goods so it's not a complicated business!

Afternoon all!
I'm just putting more stuff up on Amazon, and would say again that I recommend the dual-pronged attack if you've got CDs to sell - I've got Amazon and Music Magpie open at present, and I've just had a better offer on MM than the lowest priced used item on Amazon. Unusual, admittedly, but probably worth checking.
And just a quickie while I'm here - does anyone know where I can get good quality, colourful felt from fairly cheaply? Fairly large sheets rather than scraps, preferably.

Anyone know where I can buy 3d box frames cheaply? They're the sort of thing you can put dried flowers, keepsakes that sort of thing in. Ikea don't seem to do them anymore and ebay isn't great as the postage is too high.
Any ideas appreciated.
(This is for a money-making idea, by the way)
I've sent you a PM about this Liz0
