  • Been lurking for a while. Brilliant idea. Found site while searching for advice on using fresh yeast and ordinary plain flour in breadmaker.Want to raise 10,000 plus. So far, 1 bottle of decent red wine for minor clothing alteration, £140 cashback for moving B&C insurance, reduced grocery bill from £150 PW to £50 and petrol from £30 PW to £15. Digital telly, broadband and telephone from £92.49 to £44.00. Will keep at it.

  • I am a mom at home and would like to make the 10K in lieu of going out to work. I have cleared out a spare room, moved myself into it giving my nice bedroom with castle view over to language learning students from a local language school. Bought a hardly used bed from gumtree £70 and am hoping to take two students in for approx 3 months on and off over spring and summer to bring in £2400 (tax free).

Will be doing some ebaying also. Hope to plough this money into something else and make the 10K.
  • Hi

I joined the original thread but aside from daily clicks and scra*ch cards I haven't made any extra money - did some e bay auctions but they didn't sell.

I am investigating stuff I can make at the moment. I have some money in a separate account to use as my start off now which is good. On the whole I am looking forward to Feb.

    Lots of luck everyone xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Well I'm afraid I haven't done very well up to now either...eeek!

Had some sort of fluey/virusy thing since just after Christmas, then a radiator burst and ruined the hall carpet and we're in the middle of doing some house alterations, not to mention all the snow....so this challenge has had to take a back-burner.

But... I'm ready for February...and will have to try a bit harder! :)

    Good Luck everyone :T
