duvet. quilt is the one with lots of scraps of material stitched together isn't it.
Something people with good sewing skills do as a hobby?
Or start and never finish... I would call that a patchwork quilt though to distinguish it from the other type.

Definitely cakes. I agree with Becles about what buns are but would understand baps, and rolls as meaning the same thing. When I was student I had a friend from NI who used to buy at least six "baps" from the bakers every day.

do you think using hair clippers would work? the pile of the ikea rug is about 3 inches but the pram liners are more like 1
I'm lazy so if it was me I would see if I could get away without making it shorter first. Would hair clippers be strong enough?

When I worked in Rugby, they used to have Stotties... Never seen them anywhere since though...

I used to swing my pants with the Elephants... Ah hum...

    Off to catch up anyway...

    This is a bun

I'd call that an iced bun to distinguish it from the little round bits of bread variety of bun.

I had to buy lanky boy new bodysuits today and they are 6-9mths! I measured him yesterday and hes 68.5cm but its mainly in the body. I built up his new play-gym thing today and had to take the foot plate off so he could fit in :rotfl:
His new gym is part of the new play plan that involves more time on the floor to encourage rolling and moving a bit more, hes currently a very upright baby and can sit for a good minute unaided. He gets bored easily on the floor but this new thing seems to have caught his attention!

Just waiting for OH to get home, 12 hrs OT today, hes stopping at the shop for cans of cider for me then I think we'll watch a film :D

We have stotties. When I was a student everyone used to go on about them as if they were some really weird and unusual thing. *confused smiley*

I agree - the music is very strange! We got the Barnaby one second hand for £4 at car boot. It wasn't worth that IMO. Jack hated it and never settled in it. However bought this one second hand as well and he loves it

We had that for Seth! He liked it. I didnt like when he pooped in it though, cos it shot up the back every time...

Its most clearly a duvet people! We dont have a quilt. We just have a fluffy blankie for down on the sofa. The duvet is all for bed!
I really hate when you go away and there is no duvet, or they layer up the blankets, awful! Cant sleep then at all.

Another regional thing ...bun or cake? bun.jpg

Im a yorkshire lass and I say it's a bun!!
Its a cupcake! Then there are bread rolls, and buns are what GISI posted!
I went to stay with a friend in Wigan a few years ago and went into the bakery near the train station on my way home for a bacon roll, but looked at the price list and it looked like they didnt do it, even though I could see people eating them! I asked for a bacon roll and they looked at me like I was a freak cos I didnt know what a barm was :o

Well, I bought a babygate today, the smallest one I could find that doesnt need to be drilled, and it doesnt fit anywhere :( lush. The landlady said we werent allowed to drill one in, so apparantly Seth's safety comes way below her precious wonky walls in her list of priorities *rolleyes*

Alice was like that. We gave up on babygrows in the end because an older baby has longer legs relative to their body so she had to have ones with too long legs to get them to fit her body. (We weren't as cunning as Feelie with her clever babylegs outside the babygrow thing.)

We are OK with BG's just now as the Next ones seem to fit him perfectly. The Tesco ones you could tie a knot in the legs they are so long!
