Thanks for your feeding thoughts folks! It doesn't really bother me, I just wondered whether it was the norm or not!

OMG, birthday parties sound expensive! I must admit I have already been asking people to save the date for Henry's first birthday, but that will just be family and very close friends at our house.

Sami- I soaked a coloured sleepsuit in nappisan yesterday and it has washed up fine. No bleaching as far as I can see.

Thats what I did til DD was 5 and at school then it was the local hall with the whole class invited for the next 2 yrs! Not as dear as it sounds tho, only £24 to hire the hall and just make the food/cakes yourself can be as dear or cheap as you want it!

The monkey forest looks good, we were hoping to visit the South Lakes Wild Animal Park once the weather improves a little.
I wouldn't make a special trip, if that's what you were thinking? It's an interesting place due to the mixed species groupings but not a patch on Chester in terms of hours of entertainment.
We got in BOGOF and tbh I think I'd have been rather annoyed if we'd paid full whack

I've heard in some areas it's deriggur(sp??) to specify on invites that presents have a min value of £xxx to 'make it worth it'

Shall shove Eds stuff in the napisan then :) my fave dungers are only stained on the lining so didn't want to ruin them

Seconded about stopping them at some point, J has always had a party at one of those soft play places the last one cost us just over £200
So its his birthday in a couple of weeks and we have settled on taking a couple of his friends bowling and to Pizza Hut :) Will save us some pennies.

Havnt a clue what to get him for his birthday though he has everything!

I think Im getting this for Lexi http://www.mothercare.com/richContent/B001O9XGLG

We used to live near the monkey forest before we moved to Wolverhampton. It is about a mile away from where I work...and conveniently halfway between my house and one of my oldest friend's house so will see if she can meet us there with her 18 month old daughter (first birthday - 1 friend :D)

LOL - go karting for 9 was £180  The kids loved it but it was so expensive that we didn't even take them for a MacDonalds afterwards :o The party or gift was definitely the way to go.

Bowling and pizza hut soon adds up too!!

I keep looking at those bike things and wondering if we will get any use out of one...

Sami - I would just write a note about the rats asking everyone to be vigilant about their rubbish to try and stop them. Then I would put it around a few neighbours.
Edit - but SS is clearly far more direct (and sickly sweet) than me!!! What age are the neighbours?

    morning everyone,

good luck at the hopsital elle and rhys, will be thinking of you
    Morning all.

Just caught up and now it is time to go out! Need to go run erands in town, go to doctors and then off to playgroup :)

Maz - yes they will prescrie something at 2 months I think. Izzy has conjuncitivitis about a million times and it is fun fun fun getting eyedrops into her ;)

Elle - good luck this morning :)

AF - don't know what the problem is but get yourself booked in... you can always ask to see a lady doctor if it is the kind of problem where that would make a difference?

Ooh Ladybird just reminded me, I meant to reply to you AngelFairy If you want to ask our advice (in a non-medical kind of way) or need to chat about it were all here, but other than that LB is right book yourself in and get yourself sorted, Your a mummy now and your little baby needs you in tiptop condition! (meant in a very caring way)

thanks ladies. i know i should be going, but i just hate going to the doc and i find it hard, when you dont have like a wound or something to show them that's hurting.

i have a great male doc and wouldn't mind seeing him but he is a fav of many and therefore difficult to get an appointment with.

i mentioned in passing to my MIL last night that i had to go for my smear and something else that was bothering me, not saying what it was, and that i wanted to put it off and she said 'you aren't pregnant are you?' :D

i can just see all questions coming up at the docs and it's finding the time to go really.

glam - will get the trays and pots out over the weekend and send the fairies on their way on monday if that is okay??

mfd - hope today's a better one for you

    Dear Neighbour,

I just wanted to let you know that over the last few days I've seen rats eating the bread you're putting out for the birds.

I think it's lovely that you want to feed the birds over the winter, but I'm a bit worried about the rats in your garden - for you and also because they're starting to come into mine and as you know I have small children who use the garden. I'd like to suggest a hanging birdfeeder or putting the bread up on a table so the rats are discouraged but the birds can still visit freely.

My number is xxx-xxxx if you want to talk about it, or please feel free to drop round between xx and xx time.

Also, I'm considering putting down some rat poison to totally get rid of the unwelcome guests - I'll let you know when in case you want to do the same and so you can keep your dogs/children/whatever out of the way.

    Kind regards,
    Sammy Jo xxx
I was going to say thank you lovely until I reached the end :p *shakes fist* why I oughtta:rotfl:

Think William may have conjunctivitus...eyes were a bit sticky this morning... Would drs give you anything for a 2 month old?

    Yes they will give drops.

OMG Jack looked a bit tired at around 8.30am so I gave him a little cuddle in bed and we've just woken up

Better go and give him some breakfast now and get on with purees!

sounds good mfd :) I don't trust myself to write a note to said neighbour because despite never having seen them (because their back garden is at the side of mine IYSWIM) but I hate them because I can't stand people who put bread out and they also have about 4 wind chimes - I fricken hate wind chimes!!

No, its white with red edging, very unisex, and it's still here waiting to be claimed. PM me, I think my box was full so i've deleted your last PM.

V is being very odd. She has a new game, laying on the floor on her back giggling at nothing in particular. *confused smiley*.

If Fergie doesn't want it I will have it. I can then pass it to AF who is a week after me...but Seth and Kai will have to miss out because a) they share the same birthday and b) it is on the Monday after Benjamins on the Sunday.

I have been teaching Benjamin to shout YAY and clap when I sing Happy Birthday ;):D For extra cuteness on the big day!!
It is CM's eldest girl's 4th birthday today so I sang to her when I got there and Benjamin did some yaying and clapping but then when I sang 'CM-Eldest-Name' rather than 'Ben-ja-min' he grabbed hold of my nose and pulled my face around to his as if to say 'Oi, that is MY song' :rotfl:

V is uber-cute with her laid back giggling :D
