    It can be a problem over generations, but not as an isolated cousin-cousin marriage unless there's a specific genetic disorder in the family.

    IIRC, Elvis's parents were first cousins and his grandparents were somehow interrelated too. His organs were all twice the size they were supposed to be and his heart was on the wrong side. What killed him was apparently his giant intestine - when it became impacted the straining to try and clear it gave him a heart attack.

    GISI if you had a C-section then you get the small one if you're under 30 and the big one if you're older :)

    <nerd>
    Most of the Pharoahs' parents were brother and sister because they didn't want to dilute the royal blood with anyone else's. They believed that the pharoahs were gods on earth and didn't want to insult them with anyone inferior. There's some evidence that they all had Marfan syndrome.

    The trend continues all through royal families - Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are both descended from the children of King Harold, who was killed by William the Conqueror at the Battle of Hastings. One of his daughters went off and married a Russian prince and produced a series of children who made political marriages and had children who made political marriages and so on and so on...

    </nerd>

    I briefly flirted with the idea of having a middle name but decided against it because someone in the bank told me my name sounded like I could be a film star (before I added the husband's contribution). Perhaps this revelation should be on the other side of the nerd tag.
